News - Warzone: Full 1. 36 Update Patch Notes. Huge Meta Update & Weapon Changes. Warzone 2 1. 36 Update
The Kimbo was also severely nerfed at close range, so basically, Kimbo pistols are not going to be good. I don't know why they called it the Marksman rifle, either. I can't believe the Interceptor only got a headshot multiplier Nerf for shotguns; here, the Haymaker's Max damage was also significantly higher and reduced as well; it's 36 now, down from 52, so it's not going to be nearly as spammable up close.
For the fenick from MW2, its max damage was reduced, its headshot multiplier was reduced, and its lower torso multiplier was reduced, so the fen's going to be feeling a bit worse now, basically just making it no longer that number one SMG. We also got a huge audio update; all modes rebalanced first-person and enemy footstep audio.
Since the launch of season 1, we've been actively listening to player feedback regarding audio concerns in War Zone, especially related to footsteps. This initial update is aimed at addressing part of these concerns and enhancing the overall experience before we head into the holidays again, likely meaning no more audio updates until next year when making changes such as this.
There's a complex mix of variables that we need to meticulously look at and consider. One of the primary factors to consider is the credibility of the experience across all titles to avoid a large gap between War Zone multiplayer and zombies. Beyond that, changes to things like occlusion, falloff distance, first-person versus third-person, or specific perk mechanics can have ripple effects as well.
Please know that we're committed to ongoing improvements and ensuring that players can fully immerse themselves in the game while maintaining a competitive edge. Your continued feedback is appreciated, so they have updated the audio. Hopefully, it's significant enough to actually be able to hear footsteps clearly.
Now we also have a couple of bug fixes. They fix collision issues with various elements across Ekhan with different exploits and whatnot, an issue that allowed players to get stuck inside locked buildings that should be otherwise inaccessible. You could drop it on the roof of some strongholds and then just be stuck in there.
They also fix additional issues with incorrect text, so this is definitely a significant meta update. I'm still super concerned about the Interceptor, though I don't think that got enough of a Nerf, but other than that. I mean significant Nerfs to the DG to the bass, be so promoting a slightly healthier meta there for sure.
That said, we are going to wrap things up. We will be breaking down these meta changes and what they mean for the best weapons in the game maybe later today or tomorrow, so stay tuned for that and make sure you are subscribed to those notifications. Peace out,
