News - Warzone 2: The New Meta Update. Best Weapons After Patch
The best shotgun in the game at the moment is the 25-round drum. Very viable, very dominant, and still very annoying, and then the final two updates from the Season 2 Reloaded update are the exact same for the Bryson 800 and the 890, which I say we can pretty much put right next to each other now that the slug rounds got a headshot buff, so if you're using slugs, you're pretty much always going to one-shot kill if you hit that headshot, so that's cool, but these other shotguns really all that great now that this list is so long.

There are some things that need to be adjusted. The fennec has got to drop down into the top-tier category. The nerfs that we've seen to this over the past couple of weeks certainly brought it down from the absolute meta area, so we're going to bring it. That one's back in line with where it definitely needs to be, and there are also a couple other things here: Lochman, the 556 is absolutely a top-tier choice: pretty much all the rifles right now are super well balanced, but we also got to bring the Voz Nev up to absolute meta.
Clearly, the Voz Nev and the attack 56 are the go-to options for ranked play for a lot of the pros. They're top choices for a reason, so if you like those two, they absolutely belong in the meta category. I am going to drop the M13 down into the top tier as well; it has buffs. That it got recently also nerfed some over long range, so it wasn't as good after the season one reloaded update.
I believe, so we are going to bring that one down, still solid for multiplayer because the ttk is so fast, but I'd be taking the hemlock over that, the TAC 56 over that M4, so on and so forth, and I'm not gonna lie, when I look at this list, there's a few things in particular that I think have to be adjusted, even more than what we already did with them.
The Vel, the PDSW, and the P90 are both of these right now just so good with their movement. Both of them have fantastic movement speeds, especially the P90. They have low recoil on each of them as well, and they have fantastic TTKS. Because they really haven't been adjusted in any negative ways, the Fenix has been nerfed, the lockman's been nerfed, other SMGs have fallen off, but some of these are really shining right now for that.
So obviously, when it comes to multiplayer, it's a much more broad and diverse meta because the ttk is so fast, and we have so many guns that are really, really good right now whereas, in multiplayer, you know, a lot of these options are in the top tier because they are not as heavy hitting as some of the better options would be in competitive instead, but with low health, you don't really have to have crazy damage so long as it's accurate, and so long as it's aggressive and easy to use.
I mean, they're going to be great choices things, like the stb, the cast of The Tempest, the EBR, and we've got a lot of good choices here for off-meta stuff also, though the TAC V gotta bring that one down. I just noticed that one was actually in the top tier here; it just saw some unnecessary nerfs, and quite frankly.
I'm disappointed by that, but it is mainly a war zone effect because the games are tethered together; they nerfed it for war zone, and now it's kind of less than ideal in multiplayer, but currently that is how the MW2 is. Meta is looking at you personally. I'm a fan of the direction that we're headed; there could be some other adjustments made to make this even more diverse, I think, but for now, you've got a lot of options for sure.
