News - The Warzone Meta Has A Big Issue

This year, though, we've got all these universal attachments. So all of the muzzles can work on really any gun in the game, whether it's an MW2 gun or an MW3 gun. The same goes for the underbarrels; we have a ton of those. The same goes for the optics; we've got a billion of those, and you know, on paper, this sounds cool.

Universal attachments, so if I have a level two weapon. I can actually have a wide selection of attachments to use, and as I rank it up more. I'll get the more efficient ones, but for now. I have a few starting options. It's going to make my low-level weapon grinding a little bit more convenient, but then you get to the point where we're at now, where it's just information overload.

If I were a new player or a more casual player looking at the gunsmith. I would be extremely overwhelmed, trying to figure out, okay, is this muzzle actually the best, or should I be using this underbarrel, or where is this one optic? I don't have it favored, and I'm trying to find it, but I got to sort through 89 of them, and in reality, there's just a handful of muzzles that are actually worthwhile, a handful of underbarrels that are actually worthwhile, a handful of optics that are actually worthwhile, and, like, a good 95%.

Of those other universal attachments, some are completely useless, and as I mentioned earlier, a lot of the MW2 attachments, some that are weapon-specific things like some stocks, some rear grips, or some rear grips or some barrels, have way harsher cons than the MW3 ones do, so that's another disadvantage for MW2 guns, but then even the universal MW2 attachments aren't always doing as much as what an MW3 attachment would be doing, for example, idle sway or aim stability, horizontal control, or whatever the case may be, so then you have all these attachments that really aren't just used whatsoever, and they're just cluttering up the menus.

So this whole idea of having universal attachments and more freedom in your creative class really has just led to this attachment salad. I'm going to call it that because the developers once referred to having too many modes on the menu, including mode salad, which, ironically, their being afraid of mode salad is why our playlists are so bad right now, but we just have this overload of attachments that are largely useless, that don't really serve a purpose, and they're just cluttering up and making things more complicated than they need to be, and I'm really concerned about this going forward into.

My big concerns for weapon customization & meta diversity going forward

My big concerns for weapon customization & meta diversity going forward

The Gulf War, obviously, was a big deal this year because MW2 and MW3 are direct compliments. You know, MW3 being a direct sequel for the first time ever, year over year, is a big deal, and that's why this exists. I doubt we're going to have things like carryover for Gulf War and multiplayer and whatnot because it takes place in a different era, but if they're going to continue with this with building upon this integration, and really the only reason we had a set was because of an engine update, so it's going to be just like in the Vanguard era, we had 50 guns from MW 2019, 50 guns from Cold War, and 50 guns eventually from Vanguard.

We're going to have so many options, and they keep piling on to this universal attachment idea. It's just going to be scrolling and scrolling and scrolling, infinitely. And there's going to be like five attachments that are actually useful, so you just have this nonsense. Jumble, of mess on the menu and none of it really gets utilized so either yeah have to go through and balance these things properly which is going to take a ton of time to get all the attachments in order so that it's not just five in any given category that are actually being utilized out of 35 or in the case of Optics like 80 it seems like or you just simply have to cut down on the Clutter and really just focus on okay we have four muzzles here that are all attacking horizontal recoil, and aiming stability, why don't we just do one in call a day like yeah it's cool that one does 177%, to your horizontal Al recoil and 4% to your ads but then one does 22% to your horizontal recoil and 8% to your ads but those differences a lot of the time players are just going to stick with one and roll with it not really diversify their loadouts all that much and it just becomes part of that clutter as well so between the weapon balancing between the games and then also with all of the attachment overload things going on basically in every weapon category and attachment category.

warzone 3 broken meta

The meta right now is one very one-dimensional and two very cluttered and not really simplified in any way shape or form, and I feel like that is only going to grow more concerning.
