News - Warzone 2 Is Failing And It Could Not Be More Deserved
You think this skin is worth 1 hour of my actual, real-life time? I don't think so. Some of these skins are just like yellow painted on a gun, and they think it's worth 2,800 Cod points. I'm actually very happy to see the downfall of Call of Duty. I think it won't ever die. I think this is going to be a big pitfall for Call of Duty for the next little while everybody's really banking a lot of their dollars inside of Microsoft fixing this game, but we got to realize the next couple of Call of Duty have already been in the works, so unless Call of Duty really gets in trouble from Microsoft and really gets told to lessen the impact of all these mechanics that theyve put in the game to push microtransactions.
I think we're going to get a couple more years of the same, but it's good to see the player base that's you and me starting to fit back. Sure, just because we bought the game doesn't mean we have to keep buying extra stuff. Remember, this is a $70 premium game, and they're asking you every single day for another $30.
They value these skins inside their store at almost half of the digital content of the game. For a skin, the game itself costs $70, and the skin doesn't even get the scene on your screen. I'm very happy that they're starting to struggle, and a good sign of this is a free-to-play weekend followed up by a good old 30% discount, so just keep not buying the skins.
That's why they're really getting hurt; it takes almost no effort to make those skins because all the character models just happen to be the exact same size, and that's why they can make so many skins all the time, so don't buy the skins. Just play the game; don't go out of your way to give them any more money than they need; just think of them like a bagger that's sitting in your house.
You don't have to pay them; there's no obligation to, and if you do at this point, you're just doing charity work for Activision. I'm seeing a lot less skin inside of my lobbies and a lot less skin inside of War Zone, where normally I see a lot of skin. I used to have no problems with buying the battle pass, but now the battle pass has just become like an abysmal compared to what actually is being released inside of the item shop.
Remember the first battle pass in Fortnite? It was really good, and then after that, it was terrible. Once Rocket League got on the battle pass train, I was kind of out, but that's a different article for a different day. I'm just happy with you guys, man. I'm glad the shorty arm is staying strong and most of you guys aren't buying skins, judging by the comments.
I'm glad that the player base as a whole is starting to fight back against Activision's greed. A game should have to stand on its merits, and then they can ask for money after, and the Call of Duty community needs to be strong, like the Halo community, and just immediately say. No, we're done with this.
You either remove it, fix it, or make it less intrusive, but you're going to do one of those three things, or we're leaving. Ladies and gentlemen I hope you guys enjoyed the little rant this morning. It's a lot calmer than we normally do. I'm kind of getting sick, and I'm working really hard on these 50 games of War Zone gameplay.
So that will be coming out soon.
