Yes, because this game's a DLC, Call of Duty is really struggling right now; they're really hitting that limping spot. Players are no longer in the skin Rush anymore; we're not trying to buy skin; we no longer give a crap about Fomo. Fortnite proved that because they kept releasing OG skins inside of the item store, so players were like, It doesn't matter; I'll just wait for it to come back around.

It's simple: Call of Duty. Activision, you guys got too greedy. Instead of focusing on selling us a game that was good, had quality gameplay loops, and had quality multiplayer experiences, you guys instead focused on stores and selling us DLCs for games that already exist. When you bite the hand that feeds you, the hand's not going to feed you anymore, and that's what's happening: the player base, that's us, is no longer going out of our way to buy things inside of the game.

There are multiple reasons for this: the economy, inflation. The fact that these degenerates working for Activision decided that every skin needs to be valued at $20, plus Canadian, starts to really weigh on the players themselves. I often feel like I'm being forced into the item shop more than anything else, considering whenever I start opening this premium game—by the way, this game that I spent $70 on.

The first thing I'm greeted with is a store ad, then I got to click through the overly convoluted menu to then get into a game where all I see is a bunch of skins running around. I'm not really seeing a lot of variety anymore. It seems like everybody's kind of just running Halloween skins, probably because those are the coolest ones.

Let's be real, but overall, players are spending way less time inside Call of Duty. That's just a resounding fact: when you release a Call of Duty game and you don't immediately become the number one selling game of the year when you normally do, there's a big problem when, less than a month after launch, you have to offer the game at a 30% discount before the Christmas season.

The game worked as a game and didn't ask you for anything other than the upfront cost of buying that game. Now, look at a game like No Man's Sky. That game was an absolute abysmal fail on launch and took a very long time to pick up its player base, but they did it with constant updates and without asking the players for more money.

Look at Call of Duty. Now Call of Duty has released the same game for 5 years in a row since Modern Warfare 2019. So the player base is now split across five games. They then split the player base further by having zombies. The campaign and the multiplayer, as well as War Zone and Rebirth Island, split us up another five times.

Call of Duty has no problem showing you your battle pass every 7 seconds and showing you unlocks. If you didn't buy the battle pass every 7 seconds at the end of every game, you could have gotten this if you just gave us some money for the battle pass.

We would give you this item that doesn't matter; these morons over to Activision remove the deaths from your leaderboard to then sell you the kill death tracker to for the side of your gun in the game, entity. That's right, you want your kill-death tracker. You have to go buy it. It used to just be in the game, but now you have to buy it.

They need the sales to go up because they're about to get their PP slapped by the good old CEOs and stockholders over at Activision. Their investors are starting to get quite mad. The majority, that is, us, the average player, are starting to scream out and say, Hey, we're not buying your crap; we're not giving you more money.
