News - Modern Warfare 2: Huge New Update Revealed. Warzone 2 Season 1 Reloaded
I just recorded the first half of this because Mike was muted, so here we are again. Version two: Today we got the season one reloaded reveal for War Zone 2, MW2, and DMZ. This is going to be mainly content-based, but we know this is going to be a major update for all three modes, and it will include a bunch of different patch notes that'll end up dropping next week.
Pacific, and to celebrate the launch, there is going to be a double weapon XP and double XP event kicking off on the 15th and going to the 19th as well, so finally, we have some double weapon XP events going on.
Modern warfare 2 new multiplayer content update
are of course debuting with this update, and we just talked about them last night while breaking down this trailer, so if you haven't caught that article yet, feel free to go and check that one out. We get into the Modern Warfare 2 overview, obviously, and obviously the A-grade mission is the raids.
We've got shipments debuting as well, so Adam Grad is going to be this new experience for raids. Those who successfully complete the raid will unlock a familiar face, which is likely going to be Gaz since he's the only familiar face that we have for an operator. Klaus is obviously brand new, and we'll talk more about him here in just a bit.
Completing the raid also unlocks a harder difficulty playlist, and you can expect to find plenty of Intel that awards additional cosmetic items in addition to intriguing data about MW2's universe, so in order to actually do. In the raid, you have to get a raid key, so this is super important. You can't actually start the mission until you get a raid key, and you get a raid key by completing a specific daily challenge either in multiplayer or spec ops, by placing within the top 20 in any war zone playlist, or by X billing using the final extract helicopter with 30 000 cash on you in the DMZ, so keep that in mind before you jump into the raid.

As well, this is going to be a festive version of the shipment that's live from the 21st all the way through the new year on January 4th. They also add in this little subnote here: those on the naughty list won't have to fret over any mythological creatures during this holiday season, so no. Krampus is not going to be returning this year.
Thank goodness we don't have to worry about him in multiplayer or in Warzone this time around, so no, you know, problems being created there as we get into the War Zone 2 overview.
Warzone 2 & dmz new content update
Let's try a name for 2500, likes on this one, but getting into the War Zone 2 overview, we have Building 21, a brand new area for Warzone, and DMZ, it seems like, but it's redacted. Also, we have the Warzone Cup, AKA. Cod ball and mini Royale dropping as well, so new area and DMZ, so maybe it is just DMZ-specific Building 21, which is like some kind of secret lab or something based on the looks here.
You've got a tree growing inside, and he's got something fancy going up here with all the blue special lighting and stuff. So new, keys have appeared in all Mazdas, but where do they lead? The location is classified, and its benefactors are unknown, but one thing is certain about the clandestine biological laboratory: it is codenamed "Building 21." Only the strongest operators may survive, let alone access one of the deadliest areas of the DMZ.
To access redacted, you will need to access redacted. With this great risk comes a great reward. High-tier contraband is found throughout the building, especially in safes and special areas that require key card access. So we don't necessarily know much about this building other than the fact that it's going to have very high-value loot for the DMZ, so it's going to maybe be a place like the radiation zone or something special like that.
This may be marked specially or something. We also have our LTM playlist. So Cod Ball is in fact debuting, finally, and yes, this is basically Rocket League in Call of Duty. You've got your ATVs, and your online is an actual soccer field or a pitch, and you're trying to kick the giant ball into the goals here via your ATV, so it's a whole custom map just for that that's going to be available.
We also have mini-Battle Royale fans as well as more traditional Battle Royale fans. Season One Reloaded also sees the return of Mini Royale, which of course is just a sort of shrunken-down Zone. On all mods, we're still a little bit fewer players, but the action should be a bit more intense since the zone is smaller off the rip, so that should be a nice fun alternative to the slightly slower paced gameplay that's already there on all Monster just because the map's a bit bigger and obviously things play a bit differently here in War Zone 2.
New weapon update, combat record, & more content revealed
We also have our general overview, so two new operators: This is Klaus; a lot of players thought he was going to be Santa based on the description; it's not true, but he does have a cool beard for what it's worth, and Klaus is going to be available. We also have gas now and know how to unlock it.
the atom-grade special operations raid mission, so if you complete the mission, you're going to get his Convoy skin. You can also buy a new gas store bundle with the Aquatic skin if you complete the raid, and by the bundle you actually get a bonus like Gilly's suit skin as well, so that's available there, and then for Klaus, the only way to unlock him is to buy him via his in-game store operator bundle that'll be available at some point during season one reloaded, so both of our new operators are available there, and then we also have a brand new weapon dropping in season as well with this update.
It is the Chimera, aka the Honey Badger from Ghosts. Now that we've talked about this a bit, we'll also talk about just the general weapons update in the coming days, so stay tuned for that, but how to unlock the Chimera is here via cheval launch. We don't know what the weapon challenge is going to be yet; if it's going to be tied to the DMZ or if it's going to be multiplayer-specific, we'll have to wait and see once we get new Intel.
