Coming up here with the launch of season 3 in War Zone and Modern Warfare 3, we are of course going to see a brand new battle pass. This obviously happens every single season. We actually already have a bunch of confirmations and previews as to what to expect with the season 3 battle pass across the board in terms of the general layout of it and the kind of content you can expect from it, so today we're breaking down.
New warzone battle pass availability update explained
All the known details we've got as we go through everything. Every single day, I get you covered with all things going on in COD, whether it's news updates, patch notes, or meta breakdowns. First things first, when it comes to the season 3 battle pass, it's going to function very similar to the several other battle passes that we've seen through the years.
The main difference with this one, though, is that now, with the official global launch of War Zone Mobile, the season 3 battle pass is going to be the first full battle pass that we have that spans across all titles, so if you are playing War Zone Mobile right now, you're going to be able to progress your battle pass on War Zone Mobile.
If you're playing Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer, you'll be able to progress your battle pass in MW3 multiplayer. Same deal with zombies, same deal with General War Zone on PC and consoles, so this is the most ways you've ever been able to progress through a battle pass that we've ever seen in COD history, so that's kind of neat.
Do not make this mistake with your warzone/mw3 season 3 battle pass
Do keep in mind, though, that once we get into the full breakdown of the actual battle pass , itself tiers that offer things like cod points whatever platform you redeem those on, is where those Cod points are going to be so if you're for instance leveling up your battle pass by playing war zone mobile if you will knock a tier that has Cod points or a sector that has Cod points it's going to give you those Cod points on mobile so if you were to jump on to PC and continue grinding or on PlayStation 5 you're not going to have those Cod points there so definitely be very aware of which platform you're redeeming, certain sectors on I don't want anyone to mistakenly do that on one platform or then you don't have your Cod points that you wanted on your main platform so just a heads up little PSA .
New modern warfare 3/warzone season 3 battle pass blackcell upgrade
Anyway, focusing on some of this specific season 3 Battle Pass content, of course, a main feature this season is going to be the new black cell upgrader. Update: We do have one of these every single season for every single pass now. Admittedly, I don't really think Black Sale's all that worth it, especially since you can only buy it with real money.
I really hate the fact that you can't purchase black cells with Cod points, for instance, so if I were you. I don't think the value is there unless you really care about certain skin upgrades to Black and Gold because that's all they ever do. But anyway, I digress. We do have a new black cell upgrade.
It grants you an extensive collection of digitized and animated operator skins in shimmering gold with vertical glyphs. LIF streams plated tattoo work, golden glitch wear masks, black fabric, and vivid teal blue accent marks across the board, so that's their general rundown of it. The black cell sector does unlock immediately upon purchase, granting immediate access to the new stasis black cell operator.
That's the main operator you'll see with all of the black cell artwork. You also get a new frag grenade blueprint with a certain death effect, a double barrel disrespect, a finishing move, the All That Glitters black cell animated blueprint for the bass B, and various other awards, including an additional $1,000.
Cod points Keep in mind that if you do, just go through and buy the base pass with your Cod points for the season, and then you can choose to upgrade it to the black cell version. They say players who upgrade to black cell after purchasing the battle pass will also receive 1100 Cod points back, so also keep that in mind.
Full warzone season 3 battle pass roadmap
Now we do have our fullon, battle pass sort of road map or path, whatever you want to call it, already revealed to us, so we can see our first sector down in the bottom left all the way up through sector 20 in the top right alongside all of the various main rewards that we'll be able to get in any given sector, so with the various different operator skins, you can see that we've got a couple of new weapons across the board in sector 4, sector 8, and sector 15.
Obviously, Cod points you out as well. If you are specifically looking for the weapons, if you start with just the base battle pass at sector 1, you're going to have to go through a handful of sectors to actually get those new weapons, from one to two from two to four, then also from 1 to 3 from 5 to 8 to get those first two ranged weapons, whereas black sale owners can just start in the top right on that black cell tier and go right for the blueprints there in sector 20 and sector 17, and gain access to those new weapons right away.
They just won't have the base weapons until they go through and hit Sector 8 and Sector 4, respectively. Now do keep in.
New season 3 battle pass weapons in warzone & mw3
Keep in mind all the weapons within the battle pass are via free sectors or free tiers, so for instance, in Sector 8, we've got the JX Horus SMG. This is basically the MP9. They say this is an ultra-compact SMG with best-in-class CQC, damage, and mobility, and then in Sector 4, we've got the return of the Moors sniper rifle, which personally I'm very excited for.
They say the single-load rail gun delivers a high-damage payload with excellent velocity and penetration. Then, way over on the right side with sector 15, we do have a new melee weapon rounding out our third new weapon for the season 3 Battle pass, and this is known as the Gladiator, and this is essentially just like a shadow dagger knife, so it's going to have good mobility and Quick Melee animation there, but those are all the new weapons that are associated with the season 3 pass.
New classified update to the season 3 battle pass
Although they've also gone through in detail that battle 207 is dropping in the midseason update and its current unlock criteria, Is redacted now. Here's the thing: in the past seasons, we've seen several new weapons introduced via weekly challenges, and that's certainly a possibility. Maybe in week four or week five, whatever the case is, batt 27 just drops through a weekly challenge.
