News - Warzone Cheating Just Got Even Worse
They would see that someone is loading in with a Riveter that has explosive rounds on it, and that's not acceptable within the war zone; if it's not allowed or available, they'd instantly be removed and banned. Instead, someone's able to drop into the war zone and spam this thing, like crazy, get a gazillion kills, and win the game with an explosive Riveter, and then only after their spam is reported a gazillion times will they'll get shadowbanned, then viewed, and then banned manually.
That's the problem with Ricochet; it's never forcefully stopped these things before they occur; it's always after the fact because of player reports or because of obvious cheats that are detected. After all, you know someone does this for several games and ruins plenty of people's nights, so yes, as the Charlie Intel article eludes, this is just as gamebreaking as it sounds, and I don't really expect anything to change about this going forward.
I'm sure we're going to see plenty of new LTMs introduce cool upgrades like this, which, as a standalone thing, like I said, the arcade mode is really fun. I've played a decent amount of it in multiplayer, and I had a good time, but then what's fun about it ends up going into the other modes because of hacks and cheats and because of Ricochet's lack of ability to stop them, and it becomes more gamebreaking and more harmful than it is fun and chill and a different thing to experience within multiplayer, right?
The pros of the experience are completely overshadowed by the fact that because it's simple, it's abused because Ricochet is just not capable of doing what it needs to do; definitely not a great look. Hacking is just going to, I guess, continue to get crazier and crazier here within the war zone as we see more updates like this.
Let's say, for instance, that a zombie mode, the Zombie Royale LTM, returns in the future and you have a zombie super jump. Well, guess what technique is probably going to be used by cheaters and hackers? They'll be super-jumping throughout the map when that becomes available. Hopefully, something can be done about this.
Who knows though I don't really necessarily have high hopes, which stinks, that's kind of the reality of Ricochet. That being said, that's going to wrap things up for this article. If you enjoyed it, do me a favor and drop me a like. Until next time, take it easy, have an awesome rest of your day, and I'll catch you later.
