News - Warzone 2: The Season 1 Reloaded Update Changed These 54 Things (warzone 2 Update 1. 12 Patch Notes)
The XP token menu has now been changed to display how much time is left on your double XP tokens in the lobby screen, and XP tokens can now be equipped in the pause menu while in game. Finally. XP tokens can no longer be accidentally activated during Double XP events, so definitely some very big helps there in terms of the double XP tracking, and it's nice especially that in-game feature that was a very unsung but positive change made to Warzone in the Vanguard year of support but then was kind of abandoned with Modern Warfare 2 here now.
Additionally, players who join a game in progress will no longer have their losses counted if their team loses that match; that was a bug that was persisting all throughout season one; attachments now have a tuning icon on them in preview indicating which ones can be tuned and which ones cannot be acquired; a new blueprint will be available; Now display a pulsing dot next to the associated weapon in gunsmith, and various issues with weapon and attachment unlocks and progression have also been addressed. Some of the stuff is way more inconsequential than the rest, but in the interest of time, let's move on over to the war zone side of things now in terms of content.
The new building 21 addition for dmz
Of course, we have that brand new location in Building 21. DMZ This is not available within Warzone Battle Royale; it seems like it's just going to be a separate jump.
point essentially for the DMZ, but it's listed as having mysterious, new keys arriving in Al Mazda, but we don't know where exactly they lead. There's limited intelligence on access to the biological laboratory known as Building 21, which will take players outside of Al Mazda and into a hyper-dangerous new area of DMC.
I don't have any idea what that means; my guess is maybe it's just not there as of right now until somebody activates it, but really they were rather ambiguous with this and gave nothing. really useful, but in terms of content, that was the only stuff that was really adjusted or added in; rather, the rest comes down to balancing, changes to quality of life, and such.
Warzone 2.0 & dmz quality of life changes & fixes
In Warzone and DMZ for Battle Royale adjustments, we actually saw on increasing the number of strongholds up to five, which was previously at three, but nerfs to them significantly with damage per bullet by AI reduced by 26 percent and the number of units per site reduced by 50 percent, so less bots doing less damage but more locations you can end up picking up the loot and the loadout you can end up gaining from them.
The AI's combatant reinforcements and the time between reinforcement waves have doubled, so there are again fewer reinforcements. Over the course of the game, with a reduced number of units per wave of 30, they're not filling up as much as they would have before the update and the black site. The AI combatants now have additional armor, but the rewards are an upgraded version of the stronghold UAV, which will sweep twice as far and about 30 percent faster for the DMZ.
We saw cash values adjusted, where the general changes to valuable items were changed out, and we saw cash rewards for contracts, the container spawn rates increasing, self-revives, gas masks, field upgrades, and first aid kits. There is an increase in plate carriers' backpacks, field upgrades, and weapons dashes with a decrease in the electron density of components, and computer towers with a decrease in toothpaste.
In medical cabinets and with the decreased number of items found in black markets, now there's a new thing called the "Plea for Help," where eliminated players are now able to request help from enemy players, resulting in them joining the enemy squad as a new member. So taking that assimilation and then mixing it with a revive mechanic XP tokens can now be activated in that main lobby menu, and one interesting thing is that if you successfully extract multiple times in a row, players will actually jump in with random perks for their next infills, so that's interesting in that regard and what that will be.
For Warzone and DMZ perk packages, default loadouts have been updated. This is now something that's added to Warzone and DMZ, as well as ammunition. When the players drop a weapon, the respective ammunition will also drop to the ground, but with this update, the ammunition will automatically be looted should other players with partial stacks of the same ammunition walk over it.
On top of each other or going pixel by pixel, use perfection to try and find that one thing you want out of a stack of items. At the station, items that are purchased will spawn spread out rather than stacked on top of each other for easier interaction. Once again, we have a gulag elimination, an alert where again a sound will play if your squadmate is killed in action, and the same thing with the enemies as well, as we touched on in yesterday's article.
comment that the combat records are, for whatever reason, not coming again. I'm just incredibly frustrated by the principle. Of it again. It's just frustrating, but again, talking more so about the update, I'm not really giving my two cents here on that kind of stuff. We have a million bug fixes that were listed here with this; like I'm talking to you, scroll for a good four, five, or six passes on your scroll wheel, and then you'll get to the bottom for war zones and the DMZ now.
One thing that I will say is that while there is a lot that was fixed in terms of bugs and issues, one thing that is still slightly frustrating is that for those that are experiencing crashing, there is quite literally one mention of crashing in the entire patch notes. The term "crash" is quite literally listed only once in the "fixed an issue that caused the game client to crash while navigating Warzone 2.0, playlist options," and while that is nice.
I crashed in the menus for sure in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone Own Two there.
