News - Warzone 2: The Season 1 Reloaded Update Changed These 54 Things (warzone 2 Update 1. 12 Patch Notes)
How big is the modern warfare 2 update 1.12?
So the update, firstly, is roughly 10 to 12 gigabytes in size depending on the platform that you're on and offers up a lot of changes for both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, and by extension DMZ as well, so.
Double xp event for modern warfare 2 / warzone 2
starting out of the Modern Warfare 2 side before we jump into anything really PlayStation users have their Double XP Weekend live right now, and on Monday, the 19th, that will come to all platforms.
Shipment returns in modern warfare 2 multiplayer
Bear that in mind, but if you got Camos, this is going to be your best friend.
Raids introduced for modern warfare 2
I'll probably be living here the next couple of days, finishing out my polyatomic grind; now next we have raids introduced, and there's a lot to be said here and full transparency, honestly. As we're recording this and as the update goes out, we won't know the full extent of this until at the earliest a few hours after the raid is live, from a call that myself and other creators had with Infinity Ward about the update.
with at least thirty thousand dollars in cash in that final expo. Chopper, which in theory I think might be the toughest just because of how many people may be going for plus, the final X bill can always get a little crazy, but once you obtain that key, you can end up using it for an entire week. You can play through it as many times as you'd like, with whoever you'd like completing it. It once unlocks the veteran difficulty, but for those interested in replayability, it is actually encouraged because reward drops are randomized and completing the raid multiple times will unlock multiple different rewards, including some exclusive to veterans.
The new chimera ar & how to unlock it in modern warfare 2
That said, beyond that, we have the new weapon, the Chimera, which is the new assault rifle added to the mix.
It's available to grab via DMZ MP. or weapon bundle in the DMZ, it's found in the new area of Building 21, and then in multiplayer, we actually do have a challenge associated with it here where you have to get two operator kills with assault rifles in 15 separate matches, so that's something that, preliminary, we don't know if you can get two kills back out and just kind of speed run it.
The 2 new operators in modern warfare 2
I would assume that's the case, and that's what happened in Modern Warfare 2019, but at least this time around we do have a multiplayer challenge associated with it, and we have the new operators of gas as well as Klaus gas, which is obtainable by completing the raid here in Modern Warfare 2, and then class being a store bundle but also gas having one as well.
The season 1 reloaded weapon tuning in modern warfare 2 / warzone 2
Now for things that we haven't been able to talk about just yet, let's talk about tuning and quality of life first. Starting with the weapon tuning here on the Modern Warfare 2 side of things for a few General notes that Akimbo is p890. X12 Basilisk and 50GS have all received a damage reduction against armored opponents, and it fixed the issue causing shotguns to inconsistently display the broken armor hit markers.
saw an increase to the muzzle velocity, a small damage decrease to the hip spread, an increase to the close damage multiplier, and an increase to the chest damage multiplier for SMGs. The mx-9 saw increased movement speed, and sprint to fire speed on the 32-round magazine with the valves 47, Having a reduced hip spread increases movement speed and increases weapon damage.
Buffs to both those pistols: the Basilisk ended up seeing added muzzle attachment usage on the f-tac Aero Barrel, and the 50GS pistol ended up seeing a reduction in hip fire spread and increased one-hit headshot range, increased damage range, increased neck and upper shoulder locational damage multipliers, increased bullet velocity, and an increased damage range on the SA Long Shot 50 and SA Tyrant 50 barrels.
The shotguns overall can no longer kill fully armored players in one shot, and the Xbox I-12 now has a guard category, including the TV CF-40, Guard the AZ-40, shotgun, and the Azero T15. Guard the melee with the riot shield you have. Some changes here might frustrate some players. It reduced the movement speed and reduced the melee damage to a three-hit kill now, which is interesting and going to be really tough for some of those camo challenges.
The shield movement animation apparently had an improvement, and there's now a longer switch time for pulling out and throwing knives when riot shields are equipped on the launcher, then finally rounding things out with the weapons. The Joker missiles no longer land out of bounds when targeting a wall on the edge of the map, and it improved the thermal readability.
Modern warfare 2 quality of life changes & fixes
Aiming for quality of life, there is a lot of stuff that you might not ever really notice, or things that were fixed that you might not really ever notice. Pointed items We're going to go over some of the more pressing ones.
The first one for me is ally visibility, which is a big thing that I come into contact with a ton in gameplay, especially when it's like tier one or something like that and I end up seeing my teammate names over top of enemy nameplates, whereas I think it's a teammate. It's actually an enemy, and I lose a gunfight or sometimes just don't even engage in one because I think it is a teammate.
Now, this is something that was adjusted here where ally nameplates disappear when an enemy is in the direct path of an ally to prevent mistaking enemies for allies, and in Tier 1 in particular, this change only applies when allies are behind Geo, which is where I think it was very problematic beforehand, in Tier 1 in particular, so that should hopefully address and help out in some of those gunfights that may be problematic otherwise.
In weapon tuning for attachments, we saw most beneficial tuning magnitudes being increased and harmful tuning magnitudes decreasing, giving more net positives, whereas there could be net negatives in most tuning scenarios. In the LA Thieves CDL skin, there was something called the Rose 2.0. That's been adjusted now so that the sort of backpack and straps are defined now with the red accents rather than beforehand, when it was just an all-black skin, so it would fit very well into different shadowed areas.
Tier one in particular fixed an issue where the mini map was not always appearing, hearing, or staying up when calling in a UAV or advanced UAV. That used to play at times where I'd call it and then like one or two swoops by and your minimap would go away, but maybe some of the larger quality of life changes.
