News - The Sad State Of Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2

Today I wanted to talk about a bit of a facade that I'm personally seeing start to crumble in the Call of Duty scene. Modern Warfare 2 has been touted as the fastest selling Call of Duty of all time, and that may well be true, but if you actually put context there. I don't think it's as true as a lot of people seem to believe Modern Warfare 3, prior to Modern Warfare 2 coming out, was the fastest selling Call of Duty of all time that sold 6.5 million copies in the short space of 24 hours and went on to sell over 30 million copies now.

If I were a publisher like Activision and Modern Warfare 2 really had outdone that game for the First Call of Duty in 11 years. I would be showing the units because that's a powerful way in terms of marketing to demonstrate to people just how many more this game sold and why you may be missing out if you don't bite.

I mean, if you've heard something sell double, the last version of something, wouldn't you personally think that's a better product off the top of your head? I would in terms of the sales. Let's not forget that this game costs at least ten dollars more than Modern Warfare 3 originally charged. This year, it was beaten by Splatoon 3, which I personally feel is quite an embarrassing feat for a game that is apparently the fastest-selling Call of Duty of all time.

If we actually look at this graph, we'll kind of work something out here in terms of real-term context. At the start of the graph, you'll see the graph is quite low now. That is the release of Modern Warfare 2, the multiplayer aspect of the game. The game came out on November 10th, and then on November 16th, just after that, we see this massive spike where the graph goes up right around two-thirds, or maybe three-quarters in reality, and that was the release of Call of Duty: World War II on November 14th.

Two this game was highly anticipated if you think about all the people that experienced this game in lockdown and all the sanity that it actually brought to a lot of people, but as time goes on, we start to see this graph diminish and go close to where it originally started from, so please bear that in mind.

Detail here One very important detail: this graph is a compilation of both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer, DMZ, and the likes of Call of Duty: Warzone. All of those games that have anything to do with modern warfare are currently in this graph and are still using the same formula, pretty much as when just the multiplayer aspect of the game came out.

That's a game that you would categorically say is doing well in your eyes, and just to bring some more context to this, you've got games like Apex Legends, which still has a higher peak daily than this one-singular game of CS:GO, games that have been out for years and are still using the same formula.

Now I know the eagle-eyed folks out there are going to say, "Well, you can get Call of Duty unblocked, but you can get the other games on other platforms," and we haven't even included Fortnite in this list. Also, when we look at viewership platforms, like twitch -- those that we can use as a barometer -- youtube, and the tick tocks of Instagram.

Call of Duty's viewership is down across the board in comparison to its counterparts, so one thing it would say to us is, People. I don't like Modern Warfare 2, and in terms of the multiplayer aspect of the game, that's the unwanted child now in my personal opinion, it's after four, that's something that they don't really care about, so their baby Wars on Two isn't really doing as well as it should be doing, and then the content creators have started to change their tune.

So all these big, massive content creators we've seen hype up Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, but specifically High Point Wars on Two, are starting to do a U-turn on their thoughts and feelings about this game. People like Tim the tatman JD and courage are making it known, even in modern war zones.

Someone who usually toots the horn about Call of Duty is giving his two cents' worth. Charlie Intel are starting to come out, and a man who's always really vocal anyway disrespects men. This is it; they did it. They sh*t did it, man. I didn't know it was possible, but they did it because their views went down, their viewership went down, and not many people tuned into that content.

They would say people aren't enjoying that game or that particular content. A lot of people are going to come back with that argument about casual gamers, and I understand people love to use this one, but I've said this time and time again, and I'm going to say it again in this particular article. The casual gamer that was playing Modern Warfare 3 11 years ago isn't the same casual gamer that is playing Call of Duty now, especially after the pandemic.

It's shown in these charts that more people are playing games than ever before, and we live in a world where our access to individuals, to games, and to information is bigger than it ever has been before. I mean, don't forget YouTube, which is the second-biggest search engine in the world, as opposed to Google itself.

That should tell people a lot of things, and then there's this sentiment from Justin Xavier, one of my subscribers, that the term "casual gamer" has been dead for years now, making it hard to see who Publishers are really targeting when they simplify Mario games never really got easier to make them more accessible.

modern warfare 2 is bad

Street Fighter is even more complex today than it was in 1991. Final Fantasy games can still require you to grind to progress. You'd be hard-pressed to find a 12-year-old that would struggle to play card somewhat. Well. I don't know who this casual market is anymore, so with all this being said.

I would argue that people are categorically not enjoying either of these games, and even though they may well have sold the most caller duties ever in the fastest period of time, that doesn't necessarily equate to people being satisfied with this product. I'm seeing two things here. One. My voice is really holding on for dear life here.

And as always, guys, don't forget to stay on the right track in
