News - New Update: The 6. Warzone 2 Season 2 Weapons Revealed

breaking news

This is a ton of fun, though right now it's played on 6v6, maps it's 6v6. In terms of how the squad works, you do get randomized loadouts every single round.

This week's mw3 updates

This week's mw3 updates

As a reminder as well, we had an amazing new episode streamed live here on the channel a couple of days ago for the Bombshell podcast we had jaygot as a guest it was a ton of fun and we got even more to discuss later next Friday when we get some official marketing for season 2 but as of right now in Modern Warfare 3 you can see the following updates are on the way first off headquarters, the final extra mode for season 1 or the Final Extra mode for season 1 multiplayer.

Is finally going to be dropping during the middle of next week, and we also have the addition of soup seeds. This was the original boys collab event that was confirmed, promoted, and marketed heavily, with the initial season one reloaded blog post and even the patch notes. For whatever reason, when reloaded, we ended up getting the soup takedown event added to the game instead, which had us all scratching our heads.

Vault Week went live a couple of days ago, so this was the third and final event as part of the boys collaboration. Soup Siege is finally going to go up as of the middle of this week. There'll be plenty of free cosmetics, and you can earn even a free Tracer blueprint by completing all the challenges as a part of that event. But as a reminder, this Wednesday is officially one week before the launch of season 2, so we should be getting a blog post and even a road map reveal, which I'll be covering here on.

Season 2 launch weapons

Season 2 launch weapons

the channel but as far as season 2 Weaponry does go. I've covered this slightly in a recent news roundup article talking about everything we know so far about the second season to go on even more detail about Weaponry here in this article.

Though we first had the Anvil B, aka the FNF 2000 assault rifle, we actually saw this added in Call of Duty Vanguard, so it may just be a simple copy and paste into this game. We also saw it in the original MW 209. In the form of the FN 2000, it's a pretty solid assault rifle that apparently is tied to the season 2 battle pass, so it'll be in one of the sectors.

We'll get confirmation about that later this week, and we also have the PM9 SMG, which I believe was in Black Ops 1 2010. I could be mistaken off the top of my head, but this's a weapon that is also apparently tied to the launch window of season 2 weaponry, so it should just be tied to the battle pass.

dkdynamite

That's the way that all launch weapons are typically handled at the beginning of a season, so with that, those are our two new DLC weapons that, as of right now, are rumored for February AR 7th, but that's also subject to change as far as season 2 reloaded goes.

Season 2 reloaded weapons

According to the usual data miners on Twitter, we're apparently going to be seeing the HRM, 762.

Battle rifle, and it's unclear how that'll be released in reloaded Will it be in the form of weekly challenges that go up randomly before or after the mid-season update, will it be in the form of a classified battle pass sector challenge, or will it be through maybe an armory unlock, which we haven't even seen in Modern Warfare 3 yet?

We haven't seen a DLC weapon tied to an armory unlock, even though the HRM 9 SMG, in Seon one reloaded, was initially confirmed to be one but ended up getting thrown into the classified sector. We also have the MTAR SMG. Right now, this was known, I think, a lot more as an assault rifle in many previous Call of Duty titles, but in real life, there's a variant of it that's actually a submachine gun. That's the version we're getting here inside of Modern Warfare 3.

Sword melee & michonne finisher

Sword melee & michonne finisher

and we also have the sword melee weapon, so the first two weapons I mentioned for reloading are ranged ones, but as far as this melee weapon goes. I'm going to guess it will either be in a classified battle pass sector or ateas through some other means, maybe even a challenge event that's tied to the rumored Walking Dead collaboration.

Right, it wouldn't really surprise me if, by completing a series of challenges in a Walking Dead event, the final reward is going to be a melee weapon unlock. It'll probably be the case for the sword here, but also keep in mind that when it comes to melee weapon leaks for any Call of Duty, often times we see a melee weapon get misinterpreted.

modern warfare 3

As an actual DLC weapon when it's really tied to just an execution or a finishing move as a part of a new operator bundle. For all we know, the sword could just be an execution or finisher for Michonne, a rumored operator for Modern Warfare 3, or even both. It could be part of a finisher and could also be a separate DLC weapon unlock.

Weapon tuning returning rumor?

I'll keep you guys posted on that one, but I'm also seeing really weird Rumors by the usual leakers on Twitter say that apparently weapon tuning has been data mined and was found again in the files for weapons that have yet to be released. I'm going to guess that's a placeholder. I highly doubt they're going to end up bringing weapon tuning back; they ended up opting out of continuing support for weapon tuning for MW3.

Also read:

Weaponry ended up removing the feature entirely for Modern Warfare 2 weapons that also ended up impacting the war zone, so I doubt they're going to end up kind of reverting that change and walking back on it to go ahead and reintroduce that for not just new weapons but maybe even previous ones that were released in Modern Warfare 3, including the launch weaponry.

I doubt they're going to do that, especially considering the recent layoffs. I don't think they have the manpower to go ahead and introduce a feature that ambitious again. It's something that I think on paper is cool but wasn't executed or organized in the best way throughout Modern Warfare 2's life cycle; if anything, it made adding DLC weapons that much more complicated and probably over-complicated weapon balancing with every major title.

Chainsaw after market part update

Chainsaw after market part update

Update, but you also can't forget about the chainsaw aftermarket part, which has been rumored since the beginning of season 1 on what was at December the 6th and is apparently tied to season 2 now, according to the usual leakers. But with the chainsaw aftermarket part, it probably means we're also going to get a set of maybe 8 to 10 aftermarket parts added in our second season, season 1, which added in quite a bit, and they were all effectively added via either the battle pass through different sectors or even through weekly challenges.
