News - Sneak Peek: The Warzone 2 Season 2 Battlepass
This is DK Dynamite, and today we're going to be talking about everything we know so far about the MW3, season 2 battle pass since a ton of spicy info just got revealed.
Upcoming trailers, blogs & marketing
The release of season 2 as of right now is going to be on February 7th. Unless something changes, this is the release day according to the in-game battle pass timer, and considering the message of the day confirming that we have several boys-themed crossover events lasting until that date, it looks like Call of Duty is committing to the end of season 1, which is going to be the morning of February 7th, so with that in mind, we should be getting our official blog post and road map reveal as of Wednesday.
January 31st. That's a guesstimate. I mean, they could always do the marketing even a day after that on Thursday, which is February 1st. I'll keep you guys posted on exactly how the marketing ends up looking, but regardless, we should be getting an official battle pass blog post and even a short trailer depicting all that content.
Around I want to say February 5th to the 6th, which is around Monday or Tuesday, we'll end up getting our full-fledged review for all the cosmetics coming in our second season of content, and I'll be rounding all that up in some separate articles over the next couple of weeks.
Free blueprints & rewards (major 1)
Now I also want to remind you guys that today is the beginning of Major 1 for the MW3 competitive season.
We actually have our good buddy Sniper, who works with Detonated, who will be in Boston. Live, and we'll be reporting on as much as he can for the detonated Twitter and, of course, on the detonated dcom, but you can actually earn a bunch of free rewards and cosmetics by going ahead and watching the first major and linking your account to YouTube.
So what you want to do is link your YouTube account to your Activision one, and upon watching the major itself for x number of hours, you'll get rewards like calling cards and emblems. XP tokens, even a blueprint, as well as a different charm, so hopefully guys check all of that out and definitely stay tuned for even more major one coverage over the course of.
4 operators in the season 2 battlepass
this weekend, but as far as the season 2 battle pass does go, there's actually a bit of information that I'm surprised has already been revealed by the usual data miners we get info about the Cosmetic side of a brand new season at least this early on typically we get info on this scale around the couple of days prior to the launch of or during the launch window, of a brand new season but as of all, it looks like there's upwards of three to four different operators that could be featured in the Second Battle pass for MW3.
Apparently, the main operator for season 2's pass is going to be Lwell. Of course, take all rumors with a grain of salt, but there are even other operators known as Cal, Judo, and even Bike. These are, of course, code names; they may not reflect what their actual names are going to be. I made a separate article a couple of days ago talking about all the upcoming season 2 operators that we know of thus far, even those outside of the battle pass, but as far as just the pass exclusively.
Task force 141 & konni theme pass
Rumours do suggest that the theme of the new battle pass for season 2 is going to be all around task force one for one and even the campaign, so that has me intrigued first of all for the post-launch narrative and where that's going to go in season 2, but if we are going to get a theme around one for one and our heroes, that would inevitably mean some brand new skins for some of our fan favorites like Price, soap Far, and even Ghost.
So for those out there that were looking forward to maybe seeing the campaign skins that we saw in some of those winter missions, maybe added into a battle pass or through bundles, all of that should be happening here in season 2, since that seems to be the focus of what they're going for here. I'm really intrigued about that, but as far as who is getting a bunch of brand new skins in season 2, a big list was reported on by the usual data miners on Twitter, in which they mentioned that 78 new skins have already been discovered for season 2. This doesn't just mean they're going to be in the battle pass; these could even be skins that we see in future bundles, challenge events, and so on and so forth.
Everyone getting a skin in season 2.
So as of now, Lwell is going to be getting one. We have three for price, two for soap, four for ghost, and two for Farra. One for Marov, one for Nolan, two for Warden, and two for Valaria, so this would also be the first time you get to play as Macarrov if you don't own the Vault edition of MW3.
That should be exciting to a lot of you guys out there, and also keep in mind that the skins that did leak out prematurely may even be for a future season, not just season 2, but according to these leakers online, these skins have been referred to as season 2 content. We're also going to be seeing three skins for Jet 2, Raptor 1, and Pathfinder.
Seven for Alpine, three for BBQ, and two for bantam; five for scorch and two for jabber; three for Enigma; two for Swagger; four for Riptide; and one even for lockpick. That's going to be the second combat pack that's going to be PlayStation exclusive, but as far as unknown skins go, we have one skin coming for somebody named Oscar, one for Cal, one for Bike, two for Judo, and one for Beta.
So again, take that information as you may, but that should give you a good idea as to who is going to be getting a couple of cool skins throughout the season.
Zombie boss in the s2 battlepass
As also mentioned by these leakers, the chemist warlord is apparently going to be released during season 2 of zombies, and apparently he's going to be getting a season 2 battle pass skin.
This could be misinterpreted information, but they might be going along with a trend as we saw with season 1 where we end up getting a new playable operator or skin in a battle pass, and then that exact character ends up being a warlord boss inside of Zikan, zombies, or whatever map is going to get updates for W3 zombies in a future update, which could be something cool we end up seeing right. the ability to play as a warlord boss in other modes before they're even released as an actual boss in the zombies experience We may have also gotten our first look at Black Cell for season 2.
First look at blackcell season 2?
So people out there have been pointing out that in some bundle previews to look at certain traces on whatnot, there's a couple of unknown skins being depicted.
