News - Modern Warfare 2: We Finally Have Some Big Leaks. Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2 Season 2 Leaks
Even some of the key art was released well ahead of the scheduled launch date for season two. His report states that starting in the month of February, season two for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 will deliver all new offerings for players, ushering in major updates, new cosmetics, and new content to kick off the year.
Modern Warfare 2 appears to be harboring back to the Classics for season two, welcoming back the world at War's favorite castle map alongside the return of warcom operator Ronan, featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, the face of Modern Warfare 2's expected season, so this is something that is incredibly exciting.
Interesting here because, well, we see that with the key art it seems to be a Japanese style theme with Ronan again returning as an operator that key operator for season two, the main one that will come in the battle pass, others likely coming throughout the season in paid bundles, but the biggest part that is the strangest crossover to me is that according to him and this key art, it sure looks like Castle is returning a map that we just saw within Vanguard but is also a Treyarch creation, which sure.
Treyarch has a hand in the ranked play within Modern Warfare 2, but we don't often see it, and beyond Sledgehammer's introductions, we haven't seen any sort of crossover between the Modern Warfare universe and the Black Ops universe explicitly. In one game or the other. Warzone has kind of blended those two together, and for Modern Warfare 2019, that's now taking this new Modern Warfare universe and making it something that folds into the Black Ops universe, so it's all one Call of Duty universe, but we haven't seen this explicit map transition from Treyarch into the Infinity War game and vice versa.
So, to see this is rather interesting, and also from a sense of play perspective, Castle played with the combat pacings decently. Depending on where you played it and before they ended up changing it to only be in Blitz, there were still moments though where you might not find too many engagements, or especially by comparison to the frenetic gameplay that you want with shoot house and shipment, that you wouldn't find as many quick gun fights now without combat pacing in Modern Warfare 2: Episode 6B6.6b6, is going to be incredibly slow here, so unless they introduce 10v10, something that this may be a ground war map, then perhaps that's just gonna throw the pacing all out of sorts here.
But again i'm still hung up on the fact that we're going to get Castle, an Infinity Ward game, and yes.

The timing of that is not yet known, but season two is coming on February 1st. There are no changes here to how the rollout of stuff will go along, but we can see a bit of a preview as to that new operator and a multiplayer map that could come along with it again. Fingers crossed that we get more than just that one multiplayer map with season two, but that's what we know of right now, so that said, that's what I call it.
Because, to me again, it's rather interesting, and I want to know if you guys are in the same headspace as me or not. Maybe I'm just the outlier here that finds it strange, and I don't necessarily mean that in a bad way; I just mean that it's just strange.
