News - Massive Cod Warzone 2 Season 2 Update. Fortune's Keep Returns, New Events & More
Call of Duty just revealed the biggest season in Mon 2 so far. The season 2 road map is here, and it includes a ton of new content, seven new maps, The Walking Dead crossover, and plenty more. As always, let's start off with the release date. The first season of Mon 2 will officially go live on February 7th at 9:00 a.m.
Pacific time, which means just under a week left to go, and to be honest with you guys, I'm actually excited. Now that we know when season 2 will be released, let's start off with the multiplayer side of things first. Like I mentioned, there will be seven new maps across all the multiplayer game modes.
We will be getting four brand new maps just for 6v6 game modes. First of all, we have departures that are going to be available at launch, and just as the name suggests, this map will be taking place at the departures area of Zakaya International Airport. The blog mentions that this map will be larger than the terminal and will feature areas like the restaurant, cosmetic store, and Burger Town.
Yes, Burger Town will be returning. As part of this new map, our second 6v6 map in season 2 is going to be Stash House and will also be available at launch, and just like you guys can see from the layer of the map, this probably might be the smallest map ever in Call of Duty. Okay, I think it could be smaller than a shipment, but I mean, look at this map.
This is going to be my favorite map, I can already tell you. And also, if you're still grinding camos like me, this map and shipment are going to be super amazing. I mean, just look at it. Not only does it look nice, but it's also one of the smallest maps in the game, and that is super awesome. Our third map is called Vista, and this one is also available at launch.
This map will take place at a Brazilian mountaintop resort with gift shops, restaurants, and trams. I'm not going to let you guys down. The map looks really, really awesome. I cannot wait to try it out. Our fourth and final map for the 6v6 game modes in season 2 of Modern Warfare 2 is going to be their returning, fan favorite map.
However, unfortunately, we cannot say the same for the game it first appeared in, but that is none other than Das House and will be available in season. Yes, that's right. Das house will be returned from Vanguard, of course, while everything will be pretty much the same as the Vanguard D house. However, this version of Ware 3 will take place in an under-construction skyscraper.
I'm not going to Li to you guys. The map looks amazing. I cannot wait for the return of D's house. Another small map This is very, very awesome. Following that, we'll be getting two brand new map variants of an already existing map in Mon Warfare 3. First of all, we have Airborne, which will be available in season.
This one's basically, like I said, a new variant of the map terminal. The blog describes this map as a virent plague of unknown origin that has swept through the terminal, coating almost every surface with disgusting, postal-pulsing growths of alien origin. Flights are grounded as swarms of locusts fill the sky, and then we have our second and final map variation, and this one is called Skid Grow and will also be available in midseason.
Just as the name suggests, this is simply going to be a normal Skid Row; however, it's going to be overgrown with Planet Life again. Both maps look very, very interesting. I cannot wait to try them both and to finish off with the multiplayer maps. Finally, after two seasons, we'll begin a brand new war map called Operation Tinmen, and it will be available at launch, moving on from the maps to the weapons.
Season 2 will see the addition of four brand new weapons. First of all, we have the BP50 assault rifle, which will be available at launch VI in battle pass sector B7. This weapon is a modula bullpup chambered in 5.56. It will tear down the competition with its high rate of fire and exceptional accuracy for dominating at mid- to long ranges.
Following that, we have the Ram 9 submachine gun, which will also be available at launch via the battle pass sector B6. Of course, in the previous season, we got the Ram 7 assault rifle. What's the difference between RAM 7 and 9? What happened to RAM 8? Anyway, it doesn't matter. The Ram 7 is an assault rifle.
The Ram 9 is going to be the new SMG. The description for the Ram 9 says it's more maneuverable and agile than its assault rifle counterpart. This bull pop SMG chambered in 9mm is lethal at close range. Our third weapon in season 2 of Mona 3 is going to be Thea's subverter battle rifle. It will be available in season as a weekly challenge, and finally, our fourth and final weapon is going to be the soul Renda melee.
It will be available in season, and to be honest with you guys, this is what I'm excited for in this season. Okay, we're going to finally begin a new sword in Mod Warfare 3. I'm super excited. I cannot wait. The soul random melee looks amazing, but it doesn't tell us how we can unlock it; it just says redacted.
Alongside those four brand new weapons, we'll also gain seven new aftermarket parts. Some will be available at launch, some in season. First of all, we have the Jack Bur now available in the battle pass for the Hulga 26 light machine gun. Next up, we have the Jack Tarant 762k. It will be available via weekly challenge and will be used for the long-bow sniper rifle.
Then we have the Jackback, also available via weekly challenge, and it is available for the Hulga 556 assault rifle. Next up, we have the Jack Leg Ripper, also available via the weekly challenge. In fact, all the remaining ones are available via the weekly challenge. Unlocking the Jack limp ripper will be an under-attachment, and it is available for several weapons.
Then we have the Jack Mac lift kit; it will be available for the Haymaker shotgun; following that, we have the Jack Outlaw 277 kit; it is available for the Bass P battle rifle; and finally, we have the Jack glassless optic, which is available for several weapons. Moving on from the weapons and the aftermarket parts, we have the operators.
In season 2, we'll see the addition of three new operators, one of which is, of course, the Walking Dead crossover. Our first of three operators is going to be none other than The Walking Dead's Rick Grimes. He will be available at launch with the battle pass as an instant reward for buying the battle pass.
Of course, following that, our second operator is going to be Kate Lazell; she'll be making her way into Warfare 3 multiplayer; she'll be available at launch via the battle pass instant reward; and our third and final operator in season 2 of Mon 3 is going to be John; he'll be available at launch via the black cell instant reward.
