News - Huge Warzone 2 Movement Update & New Ranked Map Rotations. Warzone 2 Season 2
Today we got the season 2 update from Modern Warfare 3, and with it came some huge movement changes and some new content for Call of Duty rank play. When I say movement, I'm talking about the sliding and diving behavior that's been completely changed from how it was previously. So before this update on the controller, if you wanted to be able to dolphin dive and slide with your input, then you had to choose this setting over here.
Either tap to dive or tap to slide, most people had it set to tap to slide. The problem with this, though, is that it made sliding very unresponsive. You would click your Crouch button, and some time would pass before your character started sliding. This is because the game didn't know if you wanted to slide or if you wanted to hold down your crouch so that you could dolphin dive, so most people that played included myself.
Had this set to slide only, which eliminated this delay and meant that you could slide much faster and the slide was much more responsive than before, but this man that on controller couldn't dolphin dive at all, and while dolphin diving isn't as effective in gunfights as sliding is, it's very important in hardpoint when you want to jump across a line of side, for example.
P2 in terminal, when everyone is shooting at you, it's much more effective to just dolphin dive over this line of side than slide over it because it's much harder for enemies to hit you that way. Well, now, after the update, they have introduced this mechanic over here. the hybrid mechanic, which, as you can see over here, says hybrid top only to slide and tople holding Sprint input to dive, so this way your slide is as responsive as it was before with slide only, but you can also dolphin that, and if you pair this with a setting like single top run where you don't have to press inside on your R3, you just have to push it forward to start sprinting.
It means that if you want to dive, you just have to press inside on R3 and Crouch, and then you'll be able to dive, but if you don't want to dive, you can just push your R3 forward and then just slide again. If you want a dolphin dive, you have to actually press the left sck; you have to press the L3 inward so it has to make the clicking noise, and then you press Crouch and you dive.
But if you don't want to dive with a single tap run, a single tap sprint, or even double tap whichever one of these you want, you can just push your left stick L3 forward. And you're just going to start sprinting; you don't have to actually press it so you don't hear any clicking sound, and this way you can slide freely.
Without having to dolphin dive and moving on to the new content we got, obviously I'm playing in Rio right now because Rio was added for Search and Destroy and for Hardpoint. In rank play specifically, it replaced skid dra snd, and it also replaced terminal hardpoint, so you can only play hardpoint in skid dra right now and you can only play Search and Destroy on Terminal right now.
As for the bomb sides, this is where the A bomb site is located, so it's on the left side of the map, and the B bomb site is over here in the middle of the map, so over here on the attack map, right in the middle, if you're attacking, you spawn on this side over. Here. So you spawn back here, so obviously it's much easier to go to the B bomb side; it's closer to you, but it's also closer to the defending spawn, which is, back here, the A bomb side, though easier to get to from the defensive side than the attacking side.
As for the hard point, there are five hills. This is where the first hill is right inside the middle of the map where the B bomb site was located, so over here on the tack map for P2, we have to run this way from P1, and it's located over here and on the back side of the map. So over here on the tack map, bottom left for P3, we have to run across to the complete opposite side of the map.
So back here, it's close to the defensive spawn for Search and Destroy, and it's this whole area over here. It's right next to the edge of one of the maps, and it's over here on the tactical map, so in the top middle of the map, then for P4, we come across to this side again, exactly where the AOM site was located, right next to this van.
P2 was over there and P4 is over here, so the second hill and the fourth hill are right next to each other, so this is where the fourth hill is, and this is where the second hill was, and finally, for the last hill, we have to go to the complete opposite side of them up, so over here. So let's just run across something like this.
I'm keeping this in just so you know how you can access each file from the previous one. So, this is where P5 is. This is the last hard point, and it's under this bridge over here. And this bridge is connected to the middle of the map over there, and you can attack it from both spawn sides like this.
Apart from Rio, we also got the return of subbase trank play, so subbase The hard point is back. The other change that we got is a slight decrease in the aim down side speed of the MCW, so now it takes a bit longer to aim down side Di, and they also increased the sprint to fire time, so now it takes a bit longer for you to start shooting after you stop sprinting.
But I've played since the update was introduced, and trust me, the MCW is pretty much the same as before; it's still the same broken gun as it was before. The final change is that they've increased health regeneration, so now if you've been shot, you'll start regenerating your health a bit sooner, and regeneration is also a bit faster.
A new Jump Sport article is coming soon. Thank you, and have peace.
