News - Finally. The Warzone 2 Content Drought Is Coming To An End
The content route is finally going to be coming to an end because tomorrow, January 17th, at 9:00 a.m. Pacific, season 1 reloaded, will finally go live, bringing with it a brand new map, new multiplayer guns, new multiplayer game modes, a limited time event, a challenge event ranked play, as well as some zombies updates, and we're going to quickly be covering all of that.
Here in this article today, the new multiplayer map is going to be called Rio. It's a beautiful-looking map, honestly, and looking at this footage, they just put this little teaser trailer out here today for the map. It really reminds me of some of the DLC maps that came out in Black Ops 4, like thises this not kind of have that like Black Ops 4 color palette does not kind of look like something that belongs in Black Ops 4, but regardless that map will be coming out tomorrow, and it will feel good to have another original map added to the rotation, because you know, while it was cool that we got all the Modern Warfare 2 maps remastered here for Modern Warfare 3 over time, it gets kind of old, you know what I mean, like I played all those maps to death back in 2009, 2010 and so here in 2023.
2024, you know it's fun to play them again, but I know those maps inside and out; they're not really new by any stretch of the imagination, so for those of us who did play the old school Modern Warfare 2 back in the day, it is nice to see new original maps coming to the game, and I'm hoping that Rio turns out to be a good one.
Next up, we have the guns. We have the HMR 9 submachine gun, which is said to have a high fire rate. That sounds pretty good. I'm always a fan of trying to use submachine guns despite the fact that they're pretty weak overall here in Modern Warfare 3, and then on top of that we have the TAC evolve R light machine gun which is said to be an advanced multi-caliber, light machine gun that can support 762, or 5.56, in general I feel like light machine guns are one of the least popular weapon categories in COD but apparently you can just convert the ammo for this weapon to make it more like an assault rifle as compared to a submachine gun so therefore more people may end up using this gun when it hits the game tomorrow with season 1 Reloaded so we'll have to wait and see how both these guns play out next up we have the different game modes that are going to be coming with season 1 reloaded, team gunfight this actually sounds interesting so gunfight rules but it's 6v6, have they ever done that before I'm really not sure like I personally don't believe I've ever played that mode but regardless if it came out before or not it does sound interesting I do want to give it a chance and also it's going to be gunfight but it's going to be on the standard multiplayer, maps so you know picture team gunfight on Quarry or highrise, or meat or the new Rio map or whatever it's going to be on the standard Maps as compared to gunfight Maps so that sounds interesting, of course then we have the return of infected I think we all know what that is and headquarters the old school headquarters back before hardpoint became a thing there you go new game modes to play new things to try out sounds pretty fun Next up here, we have a new limited-time event with the boys, the TV show.
I'm the [__] here because I've never actually watched the boys; therefore, all these references and all these updates are just kind of lost on me. I only know them because of their operators that show up in COD, like I don't watch a whole lot of television, but they're going to have a new limited time mode, which is basically going to be kill confirmed, but fallen operators will drop doses of temperature V.
Yes I'm reading this right from the blog post because I don't know [__] about the boys, but apparently, when you pick up that temp V, it's going to give you temporary power boosts like heat vision to those who swoop in and collect them, so that sounds interesting. It's going to be kind of like a goofier version of Kill confirmed, and they're going to be trying out different superheroes.
If Powers with that mode sounds fun enough, then of course we're going to have a new challenge event where it's basically the same stuff as before: you do challenges, you get XP and whatnot, and eventually you get the final reward, which is going to be a blueprint for a light machine gun. I don't believe they actually told us which light machine gun it was; the new one might not be.
I guess we'll have to wait and see, but yeah, a new challenge event and a new limited-time mode featuring the boys I do like having crossovers in COD. I'm just so tired of people playing normal 6v6, like it's rank play, but now finally, people can go play, and actually level up, get their ranks, and actually do all the things to do.
I don't believe they actually mentioned it anywhere in here, but traditionally. Treyarch has been handling ranked play, and therefore the rank play rewards have been pretty good over the course of the past couple of years, so I'm sure a lot of you guys are excited about that. Have fun, and now hopefully I can use more than two weapons when I'm playing Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer because all the sweaty people will be playing rank play, and then finally, zombies are going to be getting a brand new warlord, which looks pretty cool.
I'm not going to lie. I've kind of stopped playing zombies now. I feel like I'm in Act 3, but I just got so invested in going for the interstellar camo that I kind of stopped playing zombies. Now I feel like I'm kind of behind, but I don't know. I should probably get back into it, but zombies will have a new warlord for people to hunt down and go after some top-tier loot, which sounds cool as well.
I mean, I'm happy that they're actually continuously updating zombies as compared to the war mode. I mean, we talked about that in my previous article, but war was one of the selling points for this game; they were bringing it back, and now here we are like 3 months into the game's life cycle, and we still have only the original map, and I don't know if we're ever going to get another one.
I guess we'll have to wait and see, but yeah, there is going to be season 1 reloaded, ladies and gentlemen. Once again, it comes out tomorrow, on January 17th, at 9:00 a.m. Pacific, which would be noon Eastern, and then you can do a conversion for wherever you are in the world to figure out what time that is for you, but I'm looking forward to it.
The new submachine gun sounds fun. The new multiplayer map sounds fun. The new game modes, just for something different, sound pretty fun. It just gives us new content and new things to play around with, so hopefully that'll be fun, and hopefully that'll kind of get us through until season 2, because season 2 is going to bring with it the F2000.
Have a wonderful,
