News - A Major Change Was Just Made To Warzone 2 & Dmz. Modern Warfare 2 Surprise Update. Again
It really does seem like raven is back in control of warzone
If I'm guessing, the one thing that I take away from all of this today is that it seems like Raven is actually back in the driver's seat with Warzone; it seems since the mid-season update that Raven has really taken the reins, and I don't know if we'll ever be confirmed. Or if it's just communication, and very much so, it could be a joint effort between IW and Raven still, but with so many shifts to fundamental designs, things like your price dropping, world event changes, and Circle changes now loading out loadouts as buyable items, It seems like hard deviations from Infinity War's stance are that we changed nothing in our design decisions, which are absolute in the gameplay that we've seen over the last few years.
It or hate it to me. Infinity Ward is the most stubborn, per se, of the developers, where they've had some, let's say controversial, design decisions in core gameplay features since Modern Warfare 2's mini-map changes. Dead Silence changes movement mechanics. UI changes, and I'm sure we could keep going on and on, but guess how many of those things have changed despite, in some cases, years of vocal pushback?
None of that, so to see multiple things in the past week change in some way perhaps, not entire 180s but enough to be middle grounds, and so fast after months and months, and sometimes years, on the subjects zero. Change given kind, it feels like Raven is now in primary control of war zone 2, or at least that's the way that I see it now beyond that.
Dmz's building 21 has already been removed.
Beyond this loadout change here to Warzone 2 Building, 21 for DMZ has already been removed, so that accessibility lasted a whole 24 hours, and I'm a bit torn here on this because, on the one hand, like I said yesterday.
I think that with limited deployment Windows here, it makes that gameplay feel a bit more meaningful. Your time there is absolutely something that should be taken advantage of, and you want to make sure you go in with a level head and a game plan for what you want to do. But at the same time, I'm sure there are plenty of players who didn't even get a chance to get in there.
I was buying time all day normally, and honestly, my time management skills are absolutely awful, but even still. I went in and dropped into the DMZ in hopes of finding an access card for Building 21, and after about two hours of looting and going for Sam site supply drops, legendary caches, and things like that.
I had one Building 21 drop, and it wasn't even an access card to get in; it was a key card for once you're in Building 21, so out of two hours. I didn't even get the RNG to enter into Building 21, so my only concern is if we're going to do this continually going forward. limited in terms of windows of deployment.
I think we have to increase the spawn rates of those cards, and that's not even just me being bitter on how I didn't get in to make this easier for me; it's more so because this is my job, so when I play two or three hours at a time and I won't see a key card to enter into Building 21, for the players that play a few hours a week, the odds that you'll get to experience Building 21, let alone extract all the rewards the location has to offer, like those weapon creations and an even more basic one like the Chimera, are a lot lower in that sense.
So in that sense, it's interesting how they're working this; it's stated that it's going to be coming back sometime this week; we don't have any specifics on that just yet, so it seems like this and perhaps more locations will have limited runs but perhaps coming back on regular intervals, so good or bad, what do you think?
But with that said, here is the update as of today, along with some interesting changes to Warzone 2 and the DMZ.

For me personally, I love the Morbius Nectarine flavors. I'm stocked up on those, and as many memes as that movie created, the flavor itself is honestly great.
