News - A First Look At The New Warzone 2 Season 2 Weapons

Now The soul render is mentioned as a ceremonial blade capable of razor-sharp cuts and deadly melee action in close quarters combat, a vicious blade of impeccably Forge steel and render one-handed sword slices quickly and deeply with rapid slashes. Using your aim button while holding fire will enable a guard stance, releasing the guard for an instant slice.

Allowing for expert timing when rapidly approaching a victim, offering excellent damage and better mobility than any of the larger melee weapons. Take this into the fight when facing down the living or the undead. Now this one doesn't really excite me if I'm honest with you; it's just another melee weapon to me with a couple of different caveats and a couple of different interesting pieces here with that guard stance perhaps, but it's mentioned it's unlocked via redacted.

Now it's quite possible this is introduced as an in-season refresh with the new battle pass sector that is coming along at mid-season; we've seen those listed in the past as redacted. But that begs the question: Are those the only weapons that we have? While it has been on par for a lot of seasons in the past for weaponry, notably season 1, which had five weapons, historically speaking, it's pretty on par with the weapons throughout the season.

But the thing that makes me wonder is if we see a midseason update with a seasonal refresh that adds only one weapon, and it's a melee weapon. We've never had that happen before, and it kind of seems like it would be a waste of an update at that point, and it'd be kind of silly to do a five-challenge set in the battle pass just to unlock a melee weapon, so it just seems weird.

The new aftermarket parts / weapon mods of season 2 in modern warfare 3 & warzone

Maybe there will be more, maybe not, but anyway, beyond that, while we only have four weapons detailed at the moment , we will still see a plethora of different aftermarket parts introduced weekly throughout the weekly challenge sets. We've already detailed a handful of these, including the Jack Burnout, which is for the Hoger 26, and it will end up offering a select fire mode that will dramatically increase the rate of fire but can overheat and expand the barrel, introducing spread.

I'm not a huge fan of that, but if it's only on that aftermarket part, I guess it's not the biggest deal, but let's just hope it doesn't go further. The Jack Tyrant 762 kit is going to be for the longbo, which will be a conversion kit swapping out the receiver and magazine to accommodate the 762. For harder-hitting subsonic rounds, the Jack backsaw kit for the 556 is going to make it more maneuverable, removing the stock entirely for faster, more agile tactics.

The limb ripper for the underbarrel attachment and an overall attachment you can put on any weapon is going to be something like that chainsaw that we ended up seeing, which is certainly interesting. The Jack mag lift kit for the Haymaker is going to be a modification that reinforces the Magwell bolt and trigger to accommodate an extra-large drum magazine. The Jack Outlaw 277 kit will be for the bass B, which is a conversion kit to transform it into a lever action rifle, and finally, the Jack glassless optic will be an overall optic attachment for multiple weapons, where it'll be a glassless reflex op optic offering a crisp and clear sight picture for snappy.

Target acquisition, now those are the weapons and the sort of adjacent items you can end up expecting within season 2 here, but beyond that, we also know that we'll have new camo implications anytime we have new weapons introduced, with two weapons introduced immediately and four total to work with throughout the season, that's two to four weapons immediately you can end up using for your camo grinds of either Interstellar or Borealis.

Bear in mind that you'll have to complete the entire category, so if you end up wanting to skip entirely the sniper rifle category of something, you'd have to make sure you have four additional weapons. Beyond whatever the base is for the assault rifle SMGs, battle rifles, and so on throughout the season, know that if you're going for Interstellar or Borealis, you'll also get additional Universal camos, four per weapon, one for melee, so 13 overall here for the season.

Once that's all said and done, plus the masteries associated with each of those, that's your weapon here within season 2, and really everything you need to know.
