News - 3 New 6v6 Maps, New War Map, New Gun, More Revealed. Warzone 2 Season 2 Teaser
Fighting all right so let's have a little bit deeper here the first thing they showed off is a brand new 6v6 map called Stash House, and this appears to be set in a residential area we see a nice outside look of this building right here as well as some interior shots that seem to confirm that there's going to be a whole lot of very close quarters combat potential on this map so I'm guessing shotguns and SMGs are really going to excel at least in those interior areas we don't know how much exterior fighting will go on as well yet, after that we've got Vista and I love the Aesthetics of this map so far and also we get a better indication of the layout of this map compared to the previous one we can see basically a full-on overhead shot of this it does appear to be a medium-sized, three-lane map with a pretty decent mix of interior and exterior locations, and so far based on the really limited Clips we've seen with this trailer this is the map I'm looking forward to the most, but finally we got a bit of a look at another 6v6, map called departures.
And with this, it looks like it takes place on the outside of an airport, although maybe there is some inside fighting that goes on as well; they didn't really show enough of that, and unlike with Vista, we didn't get much of an indication of what this map is actually laid out like or how it will end up playing, but it does appear to be a lot more open than the previous two maps, so I'm guessing some longer lines of sight here unless this happens to be a smaller map than I'm thinking.
Also, in this clip, we can see a brand new gun that this guy is holding, and this appears to be an ARX 200, which, based on leaks, is likely to be called the HRM 762 in the battle rifle category. So that's it for our three brand new 6v6 maps that are coming to the game. I'm guessing we're going to be seeing two of these at launch and one with the reloaded update.
I don't expect all three with the launch of season 2 next week. On top of that, with this trailer, they have confirmed a brand new war map called Operation Tin Man, and we really didn't get to see much indication at all as far as what this map overall is going to look like and how it's going to play.
We do see some people parachuting into what looks like a large Silo of some sort, and with this little clip here, it looks like there's going to be some dynamic map elements to take place as well. We don't know if this is going to be stage-based, like once you complete a certain stage of the war mode, then it triggers this event, or if it's just something that happens through regular gameplay.
Time will tell on that one. I do consider this to be just a bit of a teaser for that war map. After that, this trailer confirmed that the Hordo mode will be returning to Modern Warfare 3. On top of that, I believe they confirmed it yesterday, but I didn't feel it was worth making an entire article on.
There is going to be a Walking Dead crossover, so we can see Rick as well as Michonne in this as operators. And it looks like, as part of this integration, they're also going to be doing variants of existing maps in the game, where they just change up the aesthetics a little bit. It appears that for both Skid Row and Terminal, they're going to have versions of these maps that look like they're a bit more post-apocalyptic and overgrown a little bit, and then this last clip as well shows a VL shooting into what appears to be a room on the top of a highrise.
I'm guessing, and I'm not 100% sure what this is showing off, but I believe this may be one of the sections of the war map as well, but that's just my best guess due to the objective indicators you can see on there as well. I may be off on that one; we'll have to wait till we get some more information, and that pretty much covers it for all of the details that I picked out from this short trailer, or I would even call it a teaser rather than a trailer, for season 2 of Modern Warfare 3.
Now I fully expect we will have a full-on road map for this by the end of the week; maybe even later today or sometime tomorrow, we will have that on the road map, and once that comes out. I will be sure to cover that, and with that. If you haven't already, I'll talk to you guys next.
