I promise anyways. The next little tip I can give is to make it a priority to keep a gas can in a vehicle with you wherever you go. This is going to come in handy for times that you just need to escape from the AI or other players. One of the most annoying things that can happen during a DMZ game is running out of gas for your vehicle and having to run away on foot.
It takes only a few seconds to find a gas station and just grab a can before you start with anything else on the match, and it's a nice little retainer. To have, and I'm also going to include this as well because it's another sort of pre-matched tip, but I would also give 100 percent advice. If you can, check out a hospital.
I'm not sure the exact number of them on the map; I think it's something like six or seven, but I'll include a picture of all the ones that I know about. Playing solo means no one can revive you, and the hospitals are 99. It's time to give you one or more self-revives or a revive pistol out of the first-aid boxes.

Alexa And, speaking of self-revives, the next thing I'm going to share is probably more useful with the squad, but I guess it can kind of be useful in solos still for some reason when you get down and have a self-revive.
And a revived pistol The game automatically resorts to using the revive pistol first. I personally don't like the pistol, considering it has four shots, and using it on yourself is kind of just a waste. If you end up finding both, I'd steal the revive pistol and use the self-res kit first. Once you get back up, either equip another self-revive or put the pistol on if you're out of them.
One of the main reasons I don't really like to use the revive pistol on myself is that there's no way to cancel it or stop it, and you can't move while it revives you. Because of that, with a regular self-revive, you can stop it and move out of the way if an enemy is trying to finish you, but you are still able to pick yourself up with a regular self-revive.
Just haul yourself off and try to get somewhere safe so that way if you need the revive pistol, you can hide in a spot and won't get finished. Okay, we're now going to get into some DMZ and solo PVP tips, which I find have made things not exactly easier because you can't have PVP and easy in the same sentence, but have basically raised my chances to win fights or at least survive.
It might seem impossible to win a 1v3 or even higher if the other team is squatting up with other people, but it's certainly possible. The most important tip for engagements with more than one enemy is to separate the fights. What I mean is that instead of taking out three dudes at once and thinking you're John Wick or something, take each fight as a 1v1.
Obviously, this is going to require practice and patience to understand, but it's something that I've learned from playing other games like Escape from Tarkov or even Valerian. It's definitely easier said than done. It might not always be possible, but trying to take on one player at a time is the smartest thing that you can do.
Your positioning and fights will be the most essential things when it comes to surviving, and it's made me way better at PVP, not only in the DMZ but also in Warzone now. Making sure not to repeat the same angle multiple times, taking high ground, and being aware of your surroundings are all key factors that you should be thinking about now.
I just want to say that I'm making DMZ seem a lot more serious than it actually is. This game is a kid's version of Tarkov, and you might get frustrated when you lose your three-play armor vest, but I promise you it's nowhere near as upsetting as it could be. So just don't get too frustrated with it, but yeah, reposition yourself very often and always leave the enemy on their toes.
My next PVP tip is a silly one that I've only just realized is the smartest thing to do: kill first and then ask questions of the people who play DMZ. Most of the time, they either won't negotiate with you or will just snake you out and act friendly, just to kill you. If you're actually looking to be friendly, then killing the player is probably a smart idea because that way they can't hurt you.
Ask them, "Hey, you want me to revive you?" and we can squad up, and they'll either get mad at you or just end up begging for help, and they have no choice but to squad up with you in the end. I will say that it's a little bit risky to tell a team that you're solo because they might just think that you're an easy kill.
Sadly, that's all I have for PVP tips at the moment because I'm not actually that good at this game. But the next thing to go over are places to avoid on the map. Now let me set this straight. You should avoid Building 21 most of the time. Ashika island altogether if you're solo. Although Ashiga isn't actually that bad, especially on Building 21.
I've had nothing but bad experiences there solo, so I'm just going to leave that for you to decide if it's a good idea to go or not, assuming that you're still on Almazar. You should most definitely be staying out of our village, Isaiah. Observatory, the cave complex Zarco, hydroelectric, and most importantly, the radiation zone.
And yeah, I basically just told you not to go to some of the best spots on the map, but it's for a good reason. Also, for clarification, you don't actually need to completely avoid these places; they're just normally filled with enemies, and I have a difficult time with them. Actor Village is one that I just stay out of in general; it doesn't matter who you're playing with because it's probably the biggest death trap within El Mazura, so just do yourself a favor and simply do not come here.
The cave complex wasn't actually that bad until season 2's release, and the shadow company crash site was added here instead of just dealing with Alcatala. On top of that, there are a lot of missions that require players to come up here, so the chance you find another player here is pretty high. Zaya and hydroelectric are kind of hit or miss whether they'll be difficult or not.
These two players can both have the weapon case spawn here, and if it does happen to be there, then definitely don't go there. The radiation is just a terrible experience for a solo player. It's just straight up pain, and armored enemies that have so much more health than they should, so once again do yourself a favor and do not come here.
Well, we've made it to the end, and my final tip is one that most of us forget while we play: just use common sense. You are not John Wick, so if you see a player walking around and he looks like an easy finisher, maybe you should reconsider. Because he might be trolling or even have teammates that are watching over him, most of the mistakes that we make along the way are simple things that could have easily been avoided if we just used our heads a little bit more, and mistakes are part of learning no matter what it is that you're doing, so if I were able to do it.
