Onto some settings in the game, you're going to want to make sure that you're playing on full screen exclusive all the time. This will give the game the highest priority on your computer when it is open, and it will also make the game much more stable. You're going to also want to make sure that your article memory scale is not too high, so if you have it at 90 or 95, you're going to want to put that down in five percent increments, so from 90 to 85, and so on and so forth.
I wouldn't put it down anything further than like 75 or 70, depending on the amount of graphics memory that you have. Basically, take the amount of graphics memory that you have on your card. If you have a six-gigabyte card, then I wouldn't go below 80 percent; if you have an eight-gigabyte card, the same story is 75 percent; and So on and so forth, a lot of people have 8 to 12 gigabyte cards, even 16 right now, so I would recommend not really utilizing more than 80 of the vram on your card if you have a lower-end card with like six to eight gigabytes, and then if you have like a 30 series card with 10 to 12 gigabytes, you can kind of ball out a little bit there; there's a lot more leg room when you're using 90 of the card for your operating system.
I would stop running Google Chrome in the background and I would use like the Opera gaming browser or something that just doesn't hog up resources, like. Google Chrome does, and it will eat your computer alive next. Up is really important; you are going to want to change your spot cache in your settings from normal or low if it's at that to higher.
Ultra only experiment, with those two settings if Ultra causes crashes change it to high, but you're going to want to have higher Ultra aside, with this meaning that when you turn your spot cache to high, slash Ultra, close down the game, open up your Nvidia control panel, which can be accessed by right clicking on your home screen or your main desktop opening, up the Nvidia control panel you are going to want to go down to manage 3D settings, and under that you're going to want to scroll until you see something called Shader.
Cache size, you're going to want to select that and change it from driver default to 100 gigabytes, and that will make your Shader cache significantly bigger. It's a very important step to optimizing your game and making it run smoothly, and once again, my last tip for this is that if all else fails, ensure that your game is installed on an SSD.
If you have an M.2, an SSD, and a regular SSD, make sure it's installed on the M.2. Make sure the entirety of the game is installed once again, and if all that fails. I would highly recommend doing a scan and repair on Battlenet, and if you're on Steam, you can verify the integrity of the game files.
As a last resort, you're unfortunately going to have to uninstall and reinstall the entirety of the game. Hopefully you have fast internet or you can do it overnight, but that is the last ditch effort once again if none of these steps work to just uninstall and reinstall the game. Hopefully there will be further stability patches for the game. Right now it is very unstable for many people, but hey, if you're one of the lucky ones and you haven't crashed like 20 or 30 times, then, believe it or not, you actually are one of the lucky ones, so hopefully this will turn your crashes to zero over time.
