News - Warzone 2i's Hidden Flaw: Is It Destined To Be Boring
Intro
It's graphics thank God for another article. We are back on Modern Warfare 2, the OG. Modern Warfare 2: I just joined this game late, but I want to ask you this question early.
Will mwiii get boring quick?
I heard this question a few times in the community, and this usually stems from people who will say that Modern Warfare 3 is just a glorified DLC or a $70 expansion pack now.
The reason people will say that is because a lot of the content from Modern Warfare 2 will be transferred into Modern Warfare 3. Now, although I don't think this is a horrible idea. I do think they should limit how much content they bring over to Modern Warfare 3 from Modern Warfare 2, especially when we just played Modern Warfare 2.
I think one of the best selling points of Modern Warfare 3 is that it is not Modern Warfare 2; it comes on man, meaning better movement and, as of right now, better communication. But I think the real reason people are saying that it's going to get boring really quick is because it's a DLC. I think it's because it looks too similar to Modern Warfare 2, and we are used to having a one-year cycle of a game, and then another studio like Treyarch gets the game, and then the art style looks completely different.
Not only the art style, but the game play is completely different. The kill streaks are completely different. The maps are different. Everything is different and in a different field. I think that is a major contributor to why people are feeling like they're going to get bought with Modern Warfare 3 really quickly.
Now, for me, I don't think Modern Warfare 3 is going to get boring really quick unless they have some broken mechanics in the game; that's annoying and highly exploitable. Like the UAV glitch or bug that's happening in Modern Warfare 2 now on some of the maps and the battle rage that they had in the beta test now they're very Snappy when it comes to the beta to get people to pre-order the game and bu the game but when it comes to the game life cycle are they going to be as Snappy to get these glitches or these bugs fixed because we all know when the game drops people are going to be exploding the game and get full, access to the whole game that's weapons that's game modes that's Maps so they can find glitches and bugs all over the place things to exploit and how quickly are they going to be able to get to these Bugz and glitches these gamebreaking glitches, that might make the game unplayable.
Now that's my only big concern. And yes, there is a lot of skill-based matchmaking in the background. But I feel like this year I'm not really going to care about skill-based matchmaking, and I might make a article on that just explaining that I'm just not worried about skill-based matchmaking. With that being said, I kind of want to go over some of the things in Modern Warfare 3 that might get stale for some people.
Now let's talk about the maps. The maps are the OG Modern Warfare 2 maps for the game that I'm playing now. I'm still playing this game, so the maps might play differently in Modern Warfare 2 than they do in Modern Warfare 3. However, with the new movement and possibly having a blitz mode like they did in Vanguard, Maps like Wasteland and Derail might actually play way better than they did in this game, Mon Warfare 2.
As of the recent Sledgehammer release, they were going to bring back certain maps from Mon Warfare 2, namely Farm 18, Marado, and Shoe House. Now, I'm going to be honest with you: those are the best possible maps they could have chosen. I'm glad they didn't choose something like border crossing come on man, as long as they keep those maps in their own playlist.
I'm cool with that. The more content, the better. Just make sure you're putting original maps into the seasons and not just these crossovers. Now, as for the weapons. I do feel that Modern Warfare 3 should have its own original weapons, and those should be available for people to play with, but they're also saying that the Modern Warfare 2 weapons are also going to be available on day one.
My biggest concern is: are you going to have your weapon already maxed out for Modern Warfare 2 and then people are going to be using it, or are you going to have to level it up again? I don't see how I can get bored with that, and lastly, the camo grind. the Mastery camo grind, if this is not too easy like they did in Modern Warfare 2, I just personally don't like long shots.
I just think it's just a waste of time, but having the other challenges there, like having double-killed blood thirsties and getting kills with attachments and without attachments, just as long as they don't have stupid stuff like mountain kills, come on, man. If they don't have those things, we'll be okay, and lastly, I do like some of the challenges that they bring, like the operator-specific challenges.
I think those are cool too. I kind of had fun with those in Vanguard, so I hope they bring those back. Now, what could be very interesting is that they actually changed the UI of the game. I think that's another contributing factor that might make people feel burned out because we've just been watching the same UI that was horrible for the last year, so I think people want a fresh UI, and if they're not changing it for some reason like the Cod hood or whatever, then we're screwed.
We're just going to have to get used to whatever. I don't even care any more, but what I do care about is having these kill streaks hit. Let me get that first down. Mr graphics speaks of kill streaks; they need to make sure that kill streaks are powerful, and they actually get you kills, because that's going to be fun to go for too.
If I do get a nuke, they need to change the nuke animation to bring back the old-school sound. I don't care if we have to unlock it through a challenge or whatever; just make the animation different because what they did recently was very lazy.
