News - Warzone 2 Zombies X Multiplayer Season 1 Event (vortex Mode Gameplay, Challenges & Rewards)
You know, a week or two before reloading would be fine. I'm sure they're going to end up saving it for the big midseason One update, which is going to be in the middle of January.
How to use the ray gun in mw3 multiplayer
But in terms of the description that Call of Duty already provided for this experience, they mentioned that in this free-for-all mode, one player spawns in with the infamous zombie wonder weapon, the one-shot ray gun. Whoever eliminates the operator with the ray gun becomes the new owner of this powerful and otherworldly weapon.
Pistol and Vortex will take place on three remixed multiplayer maps: Satan's Quarry, Spore Yard, and Tetanus. So there will be just one ray gun in the match, as a loading screen also says to hunt and kill the player to gain possession. The ray gun is going to be a one-hit kill, and you have to reach the score limit to win the entire game.
It's unclear if it's going to be 30 like regular free-for-all. Will it be higher than this? I'm really looking forward to how the rules are going to work for this upcoming Vortex experience.
Season 1 vortex challenge event & rewards
I couldn't be more excited about it, but the thing is, there's also going to be an in-game challenge event that comes with the addition of Vortex; it's going to be known as Wars the Main, so according to the usual leakers over on Twitter , this event may end up being XP-based, similar to the Dune one just released earlier today, similar to the C endowment, and macarov Camo events might not contain actual challenges, even though I think there would be a good opportunity for them to add in some zombie-themed challenges into multiplayer war zone or just through the Vortex LTM.
Hopefully that is what ends up happening, but it's very likely just going to be an exp P event; however, they could be a little unique with it and make it a community faction type of event similar to the faction showdown from MW2. There's a big opportunity here to either do this with Vortex or in a future zombie-themed event where they do operation Deadbolt versus Terminus outcomes or Dark Eternity.
There's big potential for that if it's community-driven, and then you could still have some challenges for either side as well. I think that's totally plausible for the community to go ahead and do challenges within this Vortex zombie-themed LTM, or within actual MW3 zombies, totally plausible here, But one grand reward at the very end of this event is going to be the animated magma camo footage that has already surfaced on Twitter of what this camo looks like.
Free animated 'magma' camo showcase
It could even be a bit of a callback to Mob of the Dead, and there's also a description for how this event is going to work, so according to the leakers, it does say to enter the swirling flames of the vortex, earn XP to unlock cataclysmic rewards, and equip the warhorse skin from the Tracer pack Horseman Ultra War for a boost.
The mw3 war's domain zombie event.
So that's why I'm thinking this event is probably just XP-driven, but maybe there's more to it we just don't know about, and it'll be revealed close to the launch of season 1 reloaded. Now. I'm sure the community is probably not going to be too happy about this if this becomes a reoccurring pattern, even though I don't really mind if events are catered more towards the ownership of a bundle.
If you get an XP boost, then people out there might get tired of that eventually, even though the XP boost isn't anything that great, and if you guys play long matches of, let's say, hardpoint domination. War Zone, or a full game of zombies with an XP token that is equipped, then you can still burn through these XP events rather quickly. The XP boost you get from playing as a certain operator isn't that much of a difference.
Scorpion mortal kombat reward explained
But apart from that magma camo we just went over, there is a very mortal combat, Scorpion-looking emblem called the fist of fire. People have been talking about that quite a bit over online, and there were even some jokes made that it's similar to the quote-unquote American Heroes event that was never released for Vanguard.
I know there were some data mines a couple years ago, and people out there assumed there was going to be a Captain America: Indiana Jones crossover for that Call of Duty, but those are just references to various calling cards and cosmetics that I believe hinted at those properties but weren't full-fledged crossovers.
With those characters now, I personally believe that's what's going on with this scorpion-looking emblem here; it's just a coincidence. I believe it is tied to this Vortex event, which has a pretty cool theme to it, but I understand why it could be mistaken for a Mortal Kombat-like crossover. According to leakers, we're apparently going to be seeing a little rusty calling card and a potential blueprint added to this Vortex event.
I think the event that we're going to end up seeing in January, or maybe sooner than that, is going to be a lot bigger than we all know. I think there's a lot of information about it we don't know about yet, and we'll probably learn about it in an upcoming blog post rather soon.
First look: 3 vortex maps for season 1
But the last thing I'll end with is that with these beautiful-looking Vortex multiplayer maps, of course they reskin Quarry Scrapyard and even rust. Apart from that, these could easily fit in as little Onslaught surge experiences that could be added to zombies.
At some point, these maps look incredible, and it'll be sad to see them go once the LTM gets removed, probably with the start of season 2, so we might as well reuse these assets.
Onslaught mode in mw3 zombies ??
Reuse these environments and these maps and put them in for MW3, zombies right, just little areas you can kill zombies in like an onslaught mode so you can grind your camos and do whatever challenge you want to do without having to worry about going into a big open world space like ukhan or the dark ether.
I think that would be incredible to see, especially for the zombie front, which might as well take care of zombie players in that way. I'm not saying add round-based; I mean, you could also do that, but just a little onslaught, maybe a containment type of mode, especially on that rusty reskin. That would be perfect and would scratch that itch for players out there; they just aren't getting into that open-world zombie experience with MW3. I think that'll be fantastic, but maybe it's a bit more complicated than that, and TR might have other plans up their sleeves, and maybe these maps were just made as a cool little collaboration between Sledgehammer and Treyarch but weren't intended for the actual Zombies mode, but that is about it.
