This is DK Dynamite, and tonight we're going to be talking about some new event updates, how to complete all crypted boot camp challenges, and even more. But for those out there who want additional coverage of multiplayer war zones and zombies, plus plenty of tweets every single hour on detonated Twitter now.
The valentines day content drop
I need those, but I saw some questions asking if there was a Valentine's Day event happening this year for Modern Warfare 3. We've seen Valentine's Day events happen every now and again throughout some previous Call of Duty entries. I mean, Vanguard even had one that was exclusive. Champions Hill doesn't look like we're getting one this time around for Modern Warfare 3, unfortunately.
But a new bundle did get added to the store today for those out there that are interested, featuring The Cupid Tracers on two blueprints; as you can see, one is for the crossbow; we also have an enigma skin; and then some other Valentine's-themed cosmetics, so I guess you could say this is the closest we are going to get to a Valentine's-themed event, but nonetheless.
Season 2 is set in a number of different challenge events, some of which are XP-focused and some that actually contain real challenges, such as the MP War Zone and zombies, so there is still a lot to look forward to in regards to in-game challenge events. Camo unlocks blueprints. The works, as we're going to cover here in this article.

New horde hunt event update
Also, an update on what's going on next with the Hord Hunt Zombie event. Then it looks like the week after that we'll end up getting a mimic variant of that LTM for multiplayer, and then I'm sure we'll start seeing mimics spawn over in fortunes, and they'll start dropping some skulls or bones over in the regular Zombies mode, but taking a look at the current lineup for the upcoming playlist in multiplayer.
As you can see, we have the horse hunt hellhound pound mode coming out this Wednesday, which will be streaming live here on the channel. We have departures 24/7, and snipers are also coming into the mix. Now it does look like the armored apocalypse, which is another variant of the hord. Hunt is going to be removed this Wednesday along with a small map moshpit, but we'll see what happens later on. It looks like we'll be able to complete the skull collection challenges for the horse hunt beginning next week, which is just the way that the event was designed, but also really quickly when it comes to the events.
All season 2 event release dates
It does look like the Walking Dead event does begin on February 28th and will end on March 6th, whereas the Dune event will start on March 6th and end on the 13th of March, and lastly, a Warhammer collab will begin on the 13th of March and will end on the 27th.
Just before the start of season 3, which is the first week of April, quite a few events are still lined up. I'll be making separate articles talking more about those other ones in regards to the challenges and rewards tied to those events; we'll be talking more about that later on.
The cryptid bootcamp & how it works
But there is still a lot to look forward to when it comes to the challenge event that is going live this Wednesday, known as crypted boot camp, so it looks like, as of right now, this upcoming event called crypted boot camp is in celebration of the various bundles that have come out in Modern Warfare 3 themed around a crypted collection.
It isn't an XP-focused event, though there are actual challenges you can do in multiplayer and zombies. For whatever reason. War Zone isn't supporting this event this time around for this event unless things do change, but as of right now, this is the leaked information that popped up over on Twitter by the usual data miners. They've gone ahead and force-loaded the event into their game, and I posted all the challenges for both game modes that are in support.
Get 20 kills with throwing knives
Let's start off with multiplayer. Right, so as you can see, get 20 operator kills with throwing knives to get yourselves a decal. So as of right now, there is still a smallmap playlist to go ahead and jump into, but the event won't go live until Wednesday, when that playlist gets removed.
However, I'm sure they'll end up staying in Stash House unless something changes, and I'm sure you also find lots of Close Quarters engagements while playing the new Horde Hunt LTM for multiplayer. It shouldn't be a big deal unless you guys out there are just going into quick play and some I'll find Rush shipment or meat whatever the case is, but throwing knife kills definitely aren't that hard, especially when you run multiple throwing knives in one class depending on the perks and gear that you're actually running.
50 one shot kills with iron sight snipers
But then we have to get 50 one-shot, one-kill operator kills with iron sights equipped to a sniper that'll give you a loading screen, and this isn't really that difficult if you're a fan of sniping. I think iron sight sniping is a ton of fun in just about any Call of Duty that supports it, but in Moder Warfare 3 specifically, the snipers feel pretty damn good, and obviously, the smaller the map you can argue, the harder it would be to get snipe kills, but with an iron sight.
I think it's actually a lot easier, but it all depends on your experience while using sniper rifles. I'll show you some examples on screen of a sniper that I was using with a very particular iron sight and just how easy it was to get a bunch of kills here inside of a multiplayer match.
Get 40 kills with marksman conversions
And obviously you can do these challenges across several matches, not just , but next up, get 40 operator kills with the Marks spin rifle conversion after the Markip part is equipped while using the threat identification system, which is the gear and stalker boots perk, so that will end up rewarding you with a charm.
40 operator kills sounds like a lot, but Marksman rifles are pretty OP inside of MP, and as you can see once again, the conversion kit for this Marksman rifle can only be equipped after you max out the weapon, whereas threat identification. Is this a form of gear that you guys maybe weren't familiar with?
