News - The Warzone 2 Season 4 Battlepass Update Revealed. New Operators, Weapons & Skins
This is DK Dynamite, and today we're going to be talking about everything we know so far about the season 4 battle pass for Modern Warfare 3. As a big reminder, we also have upcoming marketing for some trailers, blog posts, and tweets for the fourth season of DLC content, so at least according to how recent seasons have worked, we should be getting our blog post and road map reveal on Wednesday.
Upcoming trailers, blogs & marketing
May 22nd. That's under two weeks from now, not that far away, but if rumors are true that we're going to be seeing a Black Ops 6 reveal of sorts before the start of season 4, that could throw off the marketing a little bit for this fourth season, so bear with me as I do report on everything that does become available.
The release dates for certain things might be a bit off compared to previous Seasons but as far as the battle pass marketing does go that's typically always on a Tuesday 24 hours before the start of the new season so we should be getting a blog post and black cell Gameplay trailer on Tuesday May 28th, just a day before the season 4 launch window but there are some things happening in may just before the start of season 4 so on May 16th and until May 19th we have the CDL major 3 live stream event if you go ahead and link your Call of Duty account to your YouTube and you go and watch CDL for x amount of minutes you can actually unlock a bunch of free Cosmetics as we reported over on detonated we have the generator blueprint, a bunch of emblems calling cards stickers, and a bunch of XP bonuses.

Take advantage of those if you guys are interested in CDL and even if you're not you can of course pull up the stream on a different monitor or anywhere you can and leave the stream up as long as you possibly can because that'll be going on for the entire duration of that weekend and you can get exclusive rewards on certain days while watching the third major, for the competitive multiplayer experience but jumping into what operators we could be seeing in our season 4 battle pass as I covered in a recent article talking about all new characters for the fourth season any one of these operators could be featured, front and center with our pass so as we've seen in Modern Warfare 2 and now Modern Warfare 3 we typically see a good two to three new operators.
3+ operators in the season 4 battlepass
In the brand new battle pass, you get one at tier zero with instant access to that character. Once you buy the battle pass, you might get one deeper into the pass and maybe even a new character at Tier 100. They can spice it up a little bit this time around, but we could be seeing Molina Romanova, who's been leaked for a while.
You could be seeing Thorne, a character from Modern Warfare 19. If that's the case, we're kind of getting If that's the case, we're kind of going back to form a little bit and seeing a bit more of a serious narrative with the operators they add to a new season. Maybe it's actually going to further the plot for MW3.
And then we also have characters like Thyme, Sage Vault, Hammer Goolg, the default celebrity, and somebody named Fuel. Those are obviously code names for characters, not their actual names, or they could be their names too, but any one of those characters could be the new operators for our fourth season; they could be just new characters; they could be one of the New Black Cell People that we'll talk more about later on in this article.
Crossover skins in all battlepassses ??
But as far as crossover skins go, as I mentioned in a recent article, season 4 is supposed to collaborate with Fallout. Gundam and even The Crow have a new movie coming out, so it's totally possible that we do see some type of crossover in the battle pass as well, or at least one of the characters. I mean, I'd be totally down for a Fallout-themed battle pass, but I doubt that's going to happen.
I think there's a lot of potential with cosmetics in a pass like that, but they didn't do it for The Walking Dead; they didn't do it for the boys, so I'm betting that if anyone of the properties would have gotten a full-fledged battle pass, it would have been those properties. But I do think we'll end up seeing full-fledged crossover battle passes with like a season six every year for the haunting, not earlier in the year though, but totally possible to see at least one celebrity character pop up in the past kind of like what we got with Snoop Dogg in season 3.
Classified sector challenges coming
These always open up during the mid-season updates and typically contain at least one DLC, a weapon, possibly even more, and other cosmetics you can earn; it could be a camo, a finishing move, an aftermarket part, or even some XP tokens. So there'll be several challenges you can face in that classified sector.
You have to do the first four to unlock the HVT. Then, once you do the HVT challenge, you unlock the DLC weapon. As a part of that classified sector. I would be curious to see if they ever do some type of crossover content in a classified sector one day alongside the release of, let's say, a new bundle or a challenge event.
Maybe they could have a piece of crossover content and a classified sector too.
Battlepass weapons in season 4
That would be pretty damn interesting, but as far as weapons do go for the season 4 battle pass, here's where things get interesting, so several weapons have already leaked out, as I reported in a previous article. Any one of these could be featured in some of the earlier tiers of the battle pass.
If you look at season 3, for example, they actually saved the Bal 27, a very anticipated assault rifle, until the mid-season update, which was crazy. They ended the season with the FJX Horus, the MP9 SMG, and the Morse Sniper, but they saved the ranged AR for later. Now the compound bow has leaked out, and it's supposedly a season four weapon.
I just really feel like that's classified sector unlock, but they might throw us off and release that through something like a weekly challenge, an armory unlock, or another method like the main battle pass, but we could be seeing anything from the STG, the Spaz 12, or even the K98, featured in the season 4 pass.
If I had to guess, though I'm going to say the Kar98 is a top contender for launch, it should definitely be in the main battle pass map right off the rip on May 29th. If it's not, I'll be incredibly shocked, but I could also see them maybe saving the STG or the Spaz for mid-season, but how stacked would it be if the battle pass launches with the Kar98?
