News - Sledgehammer Absolutely Killed It With This New Warzone 2 Update
No, from now on, I think the community is going to look at Vortex and say that those are, you know, the rotation of cool out of this world maps, and I like them. I think that the variety is decent. I just wish that they would add them to the core playlist, Quick Play 12 V12. Again, the only way to access these maps is by going through the specific playlist for them, and I'm really worried once again that once that playlist leaves, all the maps are going to go back to normal because.
I'll be real. I enjoy these styles of maps way more than the OG versions. I wouldn't even be mad if they permanently changed all the OG maps to this style right here. I wouldn't be mad. I'll be real. I know some people will be angry because it would ruin the OG vibes of the Modern Warfare 2 content, and a lot of people purchased this game for that exact reason.
I don't know why, honestly, because you know it's DLC for 70 bucks if you purchased it. I hope you purchased it for more than just Modern Warfare 2 maps, but you know a lot of people did indulge just for the mod Warfare 2 content, so I know people will be angry if they permanently change rotation.
But again. I just think it adds so much more variety, and in a game that is feeling not stale but obviously because of all the mod Warfare 2 stuff and also all the transferred over mod Warfare 2 weapons from Mod Warfare 2 2022, it's just. It needs more originality, and these maps bring that originality.
You know, I enjoy them every single time I hop on them. I'm sad to see them go. I'm not even salty if they keep them in a random rotation where they're not permanently added into the quickplay launcher, but when they do add them back in. I wish they wouldn't just add them to the vortex rotation and they would add them into the whole game.
You know, instead of just putting in a playlist for a couple of weeks, how about for a couple of weeks, just put it permanently in the game, and then after a couple of weeks, remove them? You know, I just don't see the purpose of keeping a playlist within the title, especially, let's be real here, especially when it comes to no R.
Well, actually, let me take that back. Let me completely take that back because, if I really think about it, you do want to playlist because then you can actually play on the maps 24/7 instead of going into quick play and having to, you know, look for them in the rotation. So I take that back. I'll be honest, I'll take that that's not the smartest of ideas, but I do still think they should be added to the Quick Play launcher regardless.
A separate playlist and Quick Play should keep them in for a couple of weeks, however long, and then, you know, rotate them out if you want to. But I just hope that these maps spread a bit because they are very creative and awesome to play on, and I love the originality of them. But Sledgehammer, you know, this update was actually pretty decent.
I enjoyed it for the season finale; you know, honestly, I enjoyed the whole overall season. I enjoyed grinding out, you know, all the weekly objectives. I enjoyed playing with the aftermarket parts, some of them cheesier than others, and, you know. I enjoyed critiquing, giving helpful advice and stuff of that sort, and helping us pave the way to hopefully improve more good fixes for this game again.
I know a lot of people get angry at me for, you know, switching opinions all that I don't. I don't know why because I'm not really switching opinions; I'm just literally looking at everything objectively, you know, from both sides, positive and negative, and you know, if something is good. I say it's good, and if something's bad.
I say it's bad. But I know it's been rubbing people in the wrong direction, but I do it for a reason because, you know, that's how you, you know, give good advice, in my personal opinion. You've got to tell them what's good and what's bad. If I only tell them what's bad, then how are they going to know what's already good in the game?
They've done some really solid stuff in mod Warfare 3, and you know. I'll give him it, and at the same time, with the things that are faulty and the things that need to be fixed—cough, cough, the freaking swarm, you know—we'll continue to go ahead and rail it home, but overall, out of the past five games, these have been the best seasons, the best updates, and the best live service we've seen in Call of Duty in a hot minute, and I know people still don't like live service, and I don't like live service either.
Trust me. I'm not a big fan of it, but I will say that this is indeed the direction to go if they have to do live service in COD, and if it gets worse than this, then no. I don't want it at all; it has to be at this level or higher, and I'm hoping it gets higher; it has to be that this is the new standard.
This is the type of content that I expect to get out of it. You know, not a free-to-play model within a full premium AAA game, but ladies and gentlemen, that's my opinion review. I think they look absolutely phenomenal; they look just insane, and the atmosphere is out of this world. I just hope that they keep them a bit longer and again they add them into the normal rotation, but as always, ladies and gentlemen, if you enjoyed it, leave a like; if you hate it, leave a dislike; don't forget to subscribe and hit that Bell post daily here at 8 in the morning Eastern time; and of course, if you are interested in more content.
I do stream pretty much daily over on Kick; by all means, if you guys want to check that out.
