News - Season 3 Is Actually Good. Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2
So far, so positive; now we get into the microtransactions. So first off, we have the battle pass. This is amazing. I'm going to say it already. This is probably going to be the best battle pass we've had so far. The only thing I have to complain about it is that it really should have came out in season one right after the campaign came out there would have been way more interest in it but hey, now the thing that's getting a lot of controversy is that Black Cell is so special that you can spend an extra thirty dollars on it, and what this is going to do for you is give you 7, 000 Cod points, essentially access, to a couple other slots within the battle pass where you can earn Black Cell items, which are these.
These look really, really good. My only question is: why aren't they just a part of the battle pass to begin with? Do we need to spend extra money? The deal itself is good, and I'm probably going to get called a show for saying that, but for 7 000 Cod points and spending thirty dollars, it's actually a pretty good deal, but it just worries me as to where this goes moving forward, and we already have a battle pass.
This isn't a free-to-play game. If this were a free-to-play game, I would say this is amazing, but it's not. It's a paid-for game. I guess War Zone is free to play. I don't know. There's a whole argument there. Maybe I should make a separate article about it. Imperium; we also have the Cronin Squall, which is a battle rifle; and then I think we have the Tech N9 coming within the season.
I think there should be one more weapon. This is one of the downsides I see to this season. I think there should be one more weapon with the overall season challenge, which is going to be a trophy hunt, which I don't fully understand yet. Essentially, you kill people, pick up their trophies, and exchange them for things.
The biggest prize for that should be a weapon, in my opinion. But, hey, I don't know how it's going to work yet. We'll have to wait and see. We also have our operators, Alejandro and Valeria, who are awesome. These should have been operators in seasons one or two. I got bored with the other operators; a lot of people disagreed with me when I said that in previous articles, but hey.
I did, and then, as I mentioned, the trophy hunt is coming, and then we also have at the mid-season update another camo coming in, just like we saw with the Path of Ronnie event. Plus, in my book, they should do more things like this. Camos are always good; you can use them on all weapons, so I really highly recommend that they do more of these things more often, not just once a season.
Overall. I don't think there are enough weapons, and the characters are really good. Essentially, I have made this article to say that this is going to be the best season that we have seen yet in Modern Warfare 2.
