News - Huge Update: Weapon Case, Servers Down, Ricochet Online & No Ashika (warzone Season 2 Reloaded Prep)
I'm going to read the statement, but a lot of folks out there are going to be like, That's a lie. Ricochet definitely wasn't working, and without going off on a tangent, I'll save it for the podcast. Ricochet is a working antique, but guess what? It adapts to all the cheats that currently exist, but then new cheats get created, new exploits come out, and Ricochet has to relearn how to combat that all over again.
It happens all the time with any antiche across any game, and I think a flaw with Ricochet though is that it was marketed to be this big thing, which it technically is, but with the way it was marketed, it almost seemed like it was meant to serve as this bulletproof shield for Call of Duty, but that's not what it ever was, nor will it ever be something like that, so I think either way RI CR being marketed the way it was going to kind of doom it for the entire community going forward, because there's always going to be times when a cret can't combat a certain cheat that exists because it's brand new and it has to learn what that is.
So what I think happened is that maybe there was a free trial, a discount, or a new type of cheat that went live over the last week or whatnot, and there were a lot more people trying that out, hence why you saw some weirder cheats than usual in Cross War Zone-ranked Resurgence. Regular Battle Royale.
Update on richochet for season 2
You'll see cheaters here and there inside of MW3. But obviously, war zone is free, hence why you see a lot more cheaters, but in the recent past notes, they debunk. Ricochet was offline over the last week or whatnot; they disabled certain game codes for limited-time perks.
People L were running some of the boys temp V abilities, even though those have long been disabled since the end of that event. People were running, so Ricochet went ahead and shut all that off over the last couple of days. They ended by saying that over 6, 000. accounts were banned from February 16th to the 20th, and that's honestly sad.
I mean, it just cringes me out that so many people out there feel the need to cheat. That's an issue with society and the gaming community overall more than it is with Ricochet, especially when Ricochet has done its best and a team behind the scenes has done their best to go ahead and combat everything that is currently known, but again, there's going to be a lot of unknowns when it comes to things inside Call of Duty.
All new patch notes for warzone!
But lastly i want to end with some new patch notes that went live for War Zone. I didn't mention these in my previous article where we talked about multiplayer, and zombies figured I'd save all the war zones for a dedicated article, but as you can see with the advanced UAV, the size of it has been increased by 2.5 times, which ensures all of Ukhan is within view for the player that calls it in.
The shock stick tech camera and portable radar fuel upgrades are now affected by enemy shock sticks. They also got plenty of weapon adjustments there, as you can see for the MTZ 556, the Haymaker, which had a pretty broken aftermarket part, the Jack Magift kit, which also got adjustments for the Longbow, the Jack Tyrant 762 kit, the Tier Jack holder rifle kit, as well as the caned laser attachment.
We also made those changes for multiplayer, but then for ranked play, Resurgence. As you can see, redeploy drones; the total number of them has been reduced from 8 to 5, and then players will now encounter fewer cuuvs in the loot chest. They've also disabled the mosquito drone inside of ranked resurgence, but they also made adjustments to skill rating for ranked resurgence as well as squadmate kill.
Sr players in our earn squad might Sr regardless if they are dead or alive. Then, for the UI and UX, address an issue where players were incorrectly shown a penalty screen when disconnecting from matches. That's some bug fixes; as you can see with normal gas masks, the plating animation on zip lines custom loadout perks is disappearing. An issue with the ray gun appearing after completing a puzzle, collision issues with various elements allowing players to EXP, and an issue preventing a player from using a backup pistol underwater while using a melee weapon, but that is about it.
