News - How To Fix Warzone 2 From Crashing On Pc. Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Intro
So with the new release of War Zone 2 and just Modern Warfare.
Graphics settings
So under quality, switch it to something like minimum and try to launch it that way. Maybe your computer is just trying to load too much, and it's just crashing that way. I know sometimes that can be an issue, but other things are actually out of the game, so I'm going to be taking this out of the game and doing it from the desktop, okay?
Drivers
So some common issues Right off the bat. I'm going to go to my graphics card, which is for me the G-Force Experience, and this is going to be where my drivers are, so you can see all the games here under drivers. As you can see, I don't have a driver updated yet, so you want to make sure you go to download and, then after that, a pop-up is going to come up.
You want to click yes and then select Express installation. And it should just update your graphics card drivers, and it'll probably restart your computer as well, so make sure you do that. That's one big thing, obviously, and that's a huge one, so if it's still not working after that, we're going to continue as before.
Steam
Steam , You want to go to the library. And then you want to type in your Modern Warfare 2. And go down to manage, or. I'm sorry, properties local files, and then go to browse, and pretty much if you don't have Warzone 2 on Steam, maybe you have it on Activision, just go to your files here in file explorer and find the PATH.
You know the drive, and then you want to go and try to find the path of, wherever your Warzone 2 is being kept, or it's called Call of Duty HQ. So for me, it's under my e-drive, so it's under my Steam Library, so it's under my Steam Apps. Call of Duty, so I, so I, so I, so I, so for me, it's called Call of Duty HQ, so for me, so I, so I, so I compatibility.
And then run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 8, and then you want to click apply, and I should mention if this doesn't work immediately, like if the game doesn't launch immediately, go back in and then turn this off again and apply, and okay because this might just create more problems on top of the problem that you're already having, so I hope that makes sense, like this might just create more problems but it could also fix it, so if it doesn't work just make sure you come back and turn that off, and yeah, so that's one thing, and then another thing is to run as administrator.
Make sure you do that, and then set your computer to run as administrator. The next thing I'm going to do If you have Steam with Activision. I don't believe there's an option for this, but for Steam, once you go to local files again to verify the integrity of game files, a pop-up is going to appear.
You want to click yes, and then it's going to go through and verify all the files you possibly can and make sure none of them are corrupt or any of that sort of thing. If you're on Activision, the best you can really do, I'm guessing, is just delete Warzone completely and then install it again. I know, obviously, but that's probably what you're going to have to do if it's still not working, and then the very last thing I'm going to be showing you is going to search, typing in graphics, and then here it is settings, and you want to go to browse, and then you want to find Cod on your computer, and then you want to click Add, and what this is going to do is add it right here.
