News - Call Of Duty Cod Warzone 2. 0 Update Download Fail. How To Fix Xbox, Ps4 Ps5 Pc. Modern Warfare 2 Mw2
Good day, guys and girls! So today is November 16th, 2022, and it is the launch day of Warzone 2.0. As you can see, we are on an Xbox, and we're still doing it the cheap way. Warzone 2 did not automatically download, and you might say, "Well, you know you didn't have your settings all set up right." So let's just do a little bit of review: in order for an Xbox to download automatically, you need to make sure that you're in sleep mode, which we are.
It's pretty dim, and then it says War Zones are unavailable; War Zone is unavailable until November 28th, which I knew going into this, but it didn't automatically install War Zone 2, okay? So we've been installing for probably a good half hour now, 45 minutes, and as you can see, we're only 12 gigs through the 50 gig update for Xbox.
And it's extremely frustrating, and I say that it's extremely frustrating because, when Warzone first came out, it was on the Modern Warfare game or it was based on the Modern Warfare game, then when it updated to the completely new game of Black Ops: Cold War, the updates happened automatically. You didn't have to go into the Microsoft store to look for another version of Warzone; it just happened, and it was all on Verdansk.
Okay, so that's fine, but then Vanguard came out, and Vanguard was a completely new game, and not only that, but Vanguard brought in Warzone Caldera, which was a completely different map from Verdansk. There were no issues with downloading it, and even though it was a completely new map and a completely new game from top to bottom—you had 10 loadouts, or you had 10 options for your weapons instead of five, or attachment slots—even though it was a complete rewrite, it automatically downloaded.
But that's not the case with this one; you have to actually go in there and choose Modern Warfare 2 from the Microsoft Store or the PlayStation Store, or from wherever you're getting these games, and tell it specifically to download that. Because now I'm sitting here, well, look at the time now: three hours and 28 minutes.
You probably think I'm waiting three hours and 28 minutes to play this game. I'm thinking of absolutely deleting this game and never playing it again. Thanks Atticus I agree, so yeah, exactly. So you guys and girls might be dealing with the same issue that I was. You know, we've dealt with a lot of stuff, and stuff is not the right word, but I'm not going to say it, but we've dealt with a lot of stuff when it comes to Xbox.
And with these games. I've been the only YouTuber that's been bringing you information on the issues that we've had as Microsoft users with Warzone, mostly to do with the gold flake error and having to have Xbox Live Gold just to play a free game that those on PC and Playstation can play with no subscriptions no nothing you know, so here I am thinking that, you know, we're kind of turning a page that Microsoft has taken over or actually they've bought Activision Blizzard, whoever Raven whatever they're calling themselves these days.
I don't want you guys to have these issues, and it's not specifically to Xbox; it could happen on PlayStation and PC as well. We haven't even added another gig. I'm on fiber optic here, you know. I am legitimately contemplating not even finishing this download and not playing this anymore, which is a shame.
Back in my mind, I'm thinking, Well, you know, I used to play plunder, and I was quite good at it; you know, as the top 0.1 percent of plunder players, do I want to keep that kind of legacy going? But if we're going to have issues like this, I can't even get into the game. Well, guess what? "It's probably not worth my time." So anyways, that's a long, drawn-out explanation saying that you need to go in there and physically choose Modern Warfare 2 to download and don't expect your Xbox, your PlayStation, or your computer to automatically download it.
Don't be fooled by the three megabyte, sorry, three gigabyte, or 2.8 gigabyte update that's in the system; it's not actually an update for Modern Warfare or Warzone 2. It's just an update for Warzone 1, which is offline until November 28th, so congratulations to the developers on not conveying any of this to us.
Congratulations, Microsoft, for not conveying any of this to us. Yeah, if you found the article informative, think about giving it a thumbs up.
