Welcome back to a brand new article today. What I got for you guys in this one is that we're going to go over the official haunting road map that Call of Duty ended up posting earlier today. I did upload a article going over the brand new haunting event trailer.
Warzone haunting event content
If you do pre-order the game digitally, you do get a chance to play the campaign a week early, which is quite a while from now, but the good news is the haunting event comes out tomorrow, and this will hopefully buy us a couple weeks until the launch of MW3. Now let's talk about all the content and everything that we learned from this road map.
So this is the photo that Call of Duty ended up posting. He went ahead and showcased War Zone multiplayer as well as the new bundle. So the first thing on the war zone side of things is that there's going to be two brand new points of interest that are getting updated. First, we have the Marshland, which is the MAA Marshland, but I guess they are updating and changing it, and they're calling it a brand new POI.
The second one is going to be called the parted seas, and as we also got to see in the trailer, it's like floating. UFO: a sphere-type thing you get teleported into, and it takes you to a brand new location, which they haven't shown at all so far in any of the trailers, but you can actually see a portal, and there's no point in bringing a portal if it doesn't take you anywhere, so you're probably going to end up getting transported somewhere outside of the AL Mazra map, maybe like the KET complex, where you have to go in through an entrance, but it takes you to a completely different location.
Maybe we can expect some things like that with some of the bosses, for example, the butcher, who has his own alter and teleport thing, and then the UFOs, but other than that, they also showcase the brand new bosses, which are the swamp creature, the Pharaoh, the UFO, the ghost train, and the evil spirits.
As well as Butcher, and then they also mentioned that it's going to be a nighttime variant of the AL Mazra map, meaning the only light that will be available is going to be the moonlight as well as the light from the street lamps, but other than that. Vondo is also going to get an update, and it's going to be called Von Dead now.
Two features that it comes with are that it's going to have haunted weather. which shows three different stages, so one of them is normal, then it shows like a reddish color, and then it shows a super dark red color, so that's probably like the blood moon that they talked about in the blog post, and then they also show zombie quarantine.
Which probably suggests that there's going to be zombies running around, probably spawning in places like the graveyards, and they're just going to be spread out throughout the entire map. Maybe Vonet is going to play a little similar to that, but the next thing that we have is going to be the limited time mode, so Battle Royale and DMZ are going to get Operation Nightmare, which is pretty much the whole Al Mazra feature that we have going on right now with the bosses coming in the new map updates.
That's pretty much all called Operation Nightmare. The second thing is that we have Von Dead and Al Mazra, and that's going to be getting zombie royale, which is an actual mode, and this mode is going to be pretty much where you get eliminated. You come back as a zombie, you have all these cool features where you can jump super high, you move really fast, you try to take down players and eliminate them, and you sort of turn them into zombies as well, and that's pretty much the whole point of that.
We've seen zombie Royale added in the past, and there's also brand new features called the haunted box as well as the bloodseeker and grenade. These are just existing pieces of equipment that we have just upgraded with Halloween Cosmetics.
Multiplayer haunting event content
Now for Modern Warfare 2, it's not as exciting, but we have haunted maps for L.A. as well as the Embassy, which I showed you guys in the trailer for Lilo when we ended up getting that, but there's just going to be the Halloween variant of these maps for the most part.
We have grind, kill confirmed, and dominance in a 24/7 haunting MCH bit, and they're going to get decorations and things changed, so for example, the tags are going to get changed to be Halloween-related. And other things like that also with infected, it's going to be zombie infected rather than the regular one, and then drop zone is going to be trick or treat rather than the regular drop zone, and then there's haunted variants of these decoy grenades as well as suppression mines, and that's pretty much all the content that they showed, and then there's the bundles, which are the cross-over operators , that are going to be releasing at some point during the event.
Daily login rewards
Now here are some things that they don't mention. First off are the daily login rewards. We're going to be getting 10 different rewards. All you have to do is simply log in, and you'll be able to get them to start tomorrow. I've already made a article about it, but these are just the rewards, just so you know about them.
Soul capture event & rewards
The second thing that they don't mention here is going to be the Soul Capture event, and that's going to be like the trophy hunt event. You're going to collect souls by eliminating zombies; other players drop souls; you capture them; and you will be able to redeem them in the event tab and cash them in for rewards.
As you unlock rewards, you'll be able to get Mastery, operators. For every 10 rewards that you claim, you'll get a Mastery operator, the first one being this Rose operator skin, and then when you unlock all 20 items, you'll be able to get this Conic operator skin, and that's going to be the Soul Capture event.
There's also the Operation Nightmare event, which involves the bosses, so each boss is going to be available in a particular part of the map. Your goal is to find them and defeat them, and once you defeat them, you'll end up getting some sort of reward, typically calling cards. Once you complete five of them and you eliminate five out of the six, you'll end up getting Mastery Bass.
P weapon blueprint, not sure if it has Tracer effects or not, but this is what it looks like for the Soul Capture event. It is available in both Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer as well as War Zone for the Operation Nightmare event that's only available on the almazar. Map with Vondo having only one available, and that is going to be the butcher, so for all the other bosses, you need to go on the Almazar map, which is.
Haunting easter egg & reward
Why they also mentioned that there's some sort of secret Easter egg that's going to be available on Vondo other than giving us like a one-sentence teaser on there's hidden things to expect in Vondo, they don't give us any more information.
