Event information

[__] , man The Haunting event in Modern Warfare 2 War Zone 2 and DMZ has finally arrived, and it has to be one of the best Halloween events, if not the best event that Call of Duty has ever released. Period i'm genuinely surprised by what they accomplished here, given who we're talking about. In order to capture souls, you just need to get kills in the game on players or monsters.

Once you unlock 10 items from this list, you will get this rose skin. Once you unlock 15 items from this list, you will get this kig, or con. I don't know if you'll get this skin, and at the bottom here, it looks like October 24th releases a second set of rewards, so keep your eyes out for that while you're working on those.

Your main attraction for this event is going to be an operation nightmare. This is going to consist of six different challenges, some easy and some difficult. You only need to complete five out of the six challenges in order to unlock this best mastery blueprint; this is what it looks like in the game.

Here are the time stamps, so you can skip ahead to any of the challenges that you'd like to see. You can do these challenges in War Zone or DMZ, whichever you prefer for some challenges. Duos or DMZ are going to be easier for others, and quads are going to be easier regardless of the mode. The steps are going to be exactly the same for completing these Okay, let's get to it.

Evil spirits

Evil spirits

Start off easy. We have the evil spirits challenge. You need to find spirits in four different locations on Alaza. The locations and spirits are as follows: find by looting containers in alaf. Quari finds a ghoul by looting containers in Alazar City, finds a spectre by looting containers in Albra Fortress, and finally finds a witch by looting containers in Almalik Airport.

Simply put, finding these spirits just means triggering a jump scare in these locations by opening chests, duffel bags, medicine cabinets, or cash registers. As far as I've been able to confirm, note that you do need to experience the jump scare yourself because the progress on this challenge cannot be shared between your teammates.

Also, this is the challenge that I would recommend skipping because it takes the most time to travel between all these different locations and loot the boxes, but it's also the most boring out of all of them. You're going to get jump scares anywhere on the map anyway, and all the other challenges are much more interesting and fun.

Ghost train

Next up is the ghost train challenge, where you need to go on the train that circles around Almaza and capture the heart from the safe in front of the train. The train location is marked on the mini map. Here are some tips. Number one, if you're the first person or team to land right off, drop on the train immediately, run to the front of the train, avoid the two turrets towards the front of the train, and make your way directly to the safe.

Trying to compete against other teams if somebody grabs a gun and you only have a pistol can be kind of difficult. Number two, loot up and use the portal that spawns next to the safe in order to get out of the train quickly. Number three, this challenge is best done right off the drop because if another team completes the train first, I'm not 100% sure if the train resets and can be completed again like other challenges.

Do number four. Only one person will complete this challenge in one attempt at taking the heart from the safe. You will have to play multiple times if you have teammates who wish to complete the ghost train challenge.

Swamp creature

Swamp creature

Well, next up we have the swamp creature challenge. For this one, you need to head to the marshlands. Search the swamp and open up alien eggs to find a tiara that you can then take to the glowing symbol in the middle of the swamp to summon the swamp creatures.

He was pretty easy to kill with some coordination among teammates.

The pharaoh

Next up is the pharaoh challenge. Head to the washes and enter the tombs. Kill monsters that have red skulls, loot those skulls, and bring them to the sarcophagus to awaken them. Pharaoh, get ready; if he hits you, you're dead.

He's quite strong, so be prepared for a fight. Once defeated, everyone on the team will have completed the challenge. Tip number one: be aware of all the monsters that spawn here; they can certainly tank your health pretty fast. Tip number two: be aware of other players coming to Oasis late who might be looking to steal your progress.

Ufo

Next up is the UFO event. Head over to Sawa Village Coastline and destroy the big blue balls in the sky. Once you do this, destroy the UFO that spawns. After this, deliver the dropped artifact to the southeast wrecked ship to complete it. Note that only one person who delivers the artifact gets to complete this.

You can do this UFO multiple times for all of your teammates; thankfully, the UFO Challenge resets and you can do it again. Just make sure you lead the area and then go back once it resets , last up and the final challenge is the butcher.

The butcher

The butcher

Head to one of the four locations where the altars of Lilith are located. It will be marked on your map once you defend and secure the area. It will open up a portal that you can go through to start the boss fight.

Also read:

He will take some effort to kill, so be careful. Tip number one: if you don't go to fight the butcher right away, make sure you are extra alert for players camping the portal on either side of it. Tip number two: RPGs and other explosives are pretty effective in taking away the butcher's health, so gear on.

That wraps up the Haunting event and operation nightmare until October 24th, when more rewards will unlock on the Souls Redemption list.
