News - Warzone: New Major Event Update Revealed. Free Content, Operation Day Zero, More. Warzone 2 Update
We're heading into week seven this week, so we're getting close to the end of season 2 here, so you can actually get that full-on new season 2 camo. But for week seven, we are going to see new challenges drop for multiplayer, zombies, and Battle Royale, and if they're going in order of how they describe things on the blog, which they have so far, that means this week we're going to see the Jack Outlaw 277 Kit, which actually turns the bass B into a lever action rifle, and there's been some leaked gameplay of it that surfaced a couple of weeks ago from some data mining stuff, and it looks pretty crazy, like it could actually be pretty solid as a marksman style weapon if you're extremely accurate with it, so this is one that could be very interesting when it drops depending on its war zone damage profile.
It could potentially be causing some issues in the overall meta; we'll have to keep our eyes out for that, but yeah, we've got that update dropping on Wednesday per usual.
New warzone playlist update revealed
And then lastly, for our more routine updates, we know a playlist update is dropping across the board this week. Multiplayer will have its own stuff happening, most likely on Wednesday.
For whatever reason, the War Zone playlist update is staggered by one day, so this is going to be going live on the 21st. Thursday is a very big day for updates. I guess we got War Zone Mobile, we got CDL Major, and we've got the War Zone playlist updates. Unfortunately, as we know, the playlists are very questionable right now within the war zone, and they don't seem to be deterring away from this despite the vast amount of community feedback saying.
Hey, these playlists are not good; they are doubling down and tripling down on it as far as this week's preview goes, unless they do end up changing things, which if they do, obviously. I'll let you guys know we are of course going to see ranks play trios on Fortunes Keep; that's a mainstay. This is going to be the final week of plunder quads lasting from the 21st to the 27th, so if you are a big plunder fan, definitely take advantage of that while that's live; it won't be live starting on the 28th.
For Battle Royale, we're going to have solos, duos, and quads on Ukhan, and then trios are going to be available on Vondal. Of course, you can go for champion quests on both of those maps now, and then for Resurgence, this is where things just aren't great. Flat-out solos this week get Vondal, duos get to Shika Island, trios get Fortune's Keep, and quads get Ekhan.
POI rotation So yet another week of this; every single mode gets one map in one map alone, so if you are hoping to play Vondal this week with your squad, no, it is solos only. If you are trying to play some fortunes and you've got a quad, no, you can't; it's trios only. Enjoy your ekan. POI rotation I don't know; I'm just not a fan of these playlists whatsoever.
I've had to change my squatter if we're even playing Cod On Any Given Night so many times because we just don't feel like playing Ersan, POI, or we don't feel like playing Asika. It's just rough because it's not very welcoming to whoever you might have available to play with on any given night, but that being said, that's everything to expect with this week's upcoming updates.
