News - The Season 5 Reloaded Update & What To Expect. Modern Warfare 2, Warzone 2, Dmz Season 5 Reloaded
The season five reloaded update is expected to go live in about eight or so days, which is on the 30th of August PST. So as we can already see right now in the battle pass, there's another classified sector, just like we had last season, that shows a timer counting down to the day the update is expected to start.
I think it's pretty safe to assume that there'll be another five tiers that will be added here, each with its own challenge and reward, and the HVT tier will likely allow us to unlock one of the three new weapons that we're going to be getting. I don't know the official names of them all, but one of these weapons is basically going to be the Lochman Sub but with an integrated suppressor, so if you like running the Lockman with the suppressor, then this will essentially give you a free attachment slot.
The other is going to be a pistol, which looks to be similar to the 1911, and then there's also the pickaxe melee weapon, so like I said, most likely one of these weapons will be unlocked through the HVT sector, and then the other two will have their own unlock challenges that we'll need to do. As well as the five rewards from the classified battle pass sector, there'll also be more free rewards to unlock through both the vehicle's and the camera's challenge events that we'll be getting around the start of season 5 reloaded.
We don't know a lot about what these events will involve; the blog post only really said that there would be a series of tasks related to expertise with vehicles as well as an in-depth camo challenge with suitably impressive rewards. I imagine the camo challengers will work similar to previous seasons, with a challenge required for each of the different weapon types that will reward a camo, and then there'll be a mastery camo for finishing them all in terms of the challenges for the vehicle event.
I imagine a majority of these will be tied into the new armored royale mode that's already been confirmed for the update. From the season 5 blog, we know that this mode is going to be just like Battle Royale, except each team will start with their own in-wrap vehicle, and you've got loot for cash to upgrade it with turrets and protective shielding, plus it will even have its own mobile buy station on the back of it as well as the armored royale mode.
Modern War Zone, a Resurgence mode that's played specifically on the Fortress section of Al Mazura, will be added in too, which could be a bit of fun. Speaking of new modes, several of them will also be coming to Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer, with snipers only gunfighting armored, gunfighting, and also face-off 4v4.
If it's anything like Face-Off from Cold War, this playlist will be a great place to get camo challenges, or really any challenges, done. In terms of operators and new bundles, we know that we're going to be getting the 21 Savage operator and bundle as a part of the 50 years of hip-hop celebration, and with that, it's also rumored that there'll be a Flavor Flav bundle too, but this one might just include blueprints and not an actual operator.
As well as that, we know that Mace from Modern Warfare 2019 will be getting his own bundle, and it's also expected that we'll see a Lara Croft or Tomb Raider bundle as well, which was revealed early through the Playstation blog for season five. For DMZ, not a lot if anything is really known at the moment for what will be added in, but I think a majority of people, including myself, are expecting tier 3, tier 4, and tier 5 missions for the shadow company faction, which will hopefully continue moving the story forward after the m.3 reveal event and take us into the chemical bunkers underneath the observatory.
As well as that permanent map change that we'll see to the observatory on al-mazura, we also know about a Building 21 map that's been added to MW2 multiplayer, which isn't actually Building 21 itself that we can play on at the moment but rather the Visitors Center for Building 21, which could be quite interesting to check out, and there's hopefully a fun map to play on.
Alright, I'll catch you in the next one. Look after yourself and take it
