News - Modern Warfare Ii & Warzone 2 Are Both Trash, And The Declining Player Count Proves It
I hope you've all gotten what you wanted and enjoyed spending some time with your friends, family, or whatever. But today, guys, I kind of want to talk about, you know, Call of Duty as a article game. I'm going to use some Black Ops II gameplay in the background, and as you can see here, it's a bit of a shame that on PC, there are only 527 people online.
But again, you know, I did play this on a stream recently, and you can actually find some lobbies. So it's not, you know, the end of the world, and I should imagine that on console, you're going to get a lot more people than 527 people playing, but yeah. Call of Duty is in serious demand right now.
You know a lot of people who I've called shields in the past are complaining about this game, and there's a few reasons for that, like if you look here and correct me if I'm wrong. I think Black Ops 2 was like 2008, 2010 or whatever, and you know you wanted a theater mode on this game years ago, and you know it's kind of ridiculous.
You had a barracks with an emblem editor; can you remember how fun that was, guys? You know where you can prestige up to 15 levels; you know it just shows you how bad Call of Duty's got now, and a lot of times you know that. I know it's dated a bit, but it's straightforward, you know it's UI, you know it's simplistic, even the scorestreet streaks on this game look how many score streaks you've got here to use more than what you have on this game -- you know, you even have score streaks on this game.
But again, you know, we'll get into some gameplay, and hopefully we'll go into a lobby where we can have some fun. So Meltdown is one of the worst maps in the game, if we're going to be real, but it's still not as bad as Aftermath. I think Aftermath is probably the worst map—not all of Call of Duty history, but a lot of it, so we've got a lot of new players here again.
Skill-based matchmaking wasn't a thing back then, people say, but based on the few games I've had back on it now for some reason, I can dominate people on this game. We're down; some more people are coming; look, 11-1 guys, your boy is 11-1 on old school. Could you list all the ways skill-based matchmaking is ruining the game?
You know this is when Cod was great. Odd was great back in this era, but mouse acceleration was a bit dodgy. There's going to be people spawning down here; it's not Peg glitching; it's not Modern Warfare 2019. You still get sweats, but again, we're dominating that team; somebody's one in 16; and again, no hand holding in this game.
Ah, you got me at 17 and 5, and there we go, boys; you know it isn't just me. Call of Duty actually used to be good back in the day, but I'm actually having more fun now playing a, what is it, 10-year-old game? Well, it's more than a 10 years old game. The heat detection seems to work a lot better, you know, and I got all my kill streaks and had fun, and there's definitely no skill-based matchmaking in this game.
I don't care what anybody says. I know the developers have come out before going there was skill-based matchmaking in our most popular games. Yeah, I kind of disagree with that based on my own feedback; there is no way I would have just hopped on. There is no way I could have just hopped on Modern Warfare 2, 2022, or Modern Warfare 3, 2022, and had a 17-5 gameplay without playing the game for so long again.
You know, it's not that I dislike Call of Duty as a brand; I just dislike what Call of Duty is now. Hopefully, because of the player count, which you can see on the screen right now, and because I'll put it on now, the play account is actually dropping. Maybe Activision will actually start listening to the player base instead of listening to shareholders, you know, to get as much money out of the player base as possible because at this moment in time they're definitely struggling.
I love you all, take it easy bye-bye, have a good Christmas, cheerio.
