Once in a private match, head over to game setup and select any map that you want. Set your time limit to 45 minutes, and make sure you have spectating set to free. Now, select Change Team again, select Spec Crew, and then choose a loadout. The next part has to be done very fast. Press square or X to respawn, then quickly select change team and spam X or a, and if you've done it fast enough, you'll respawn on the roof.

If you respond on the ground, that just means you weren't fast enough, so try again. To make your weapons appear, you will need to re-equip your loadout. Some places you teleport to will be very small, and sometimes you won't be able to move at all, so if this happens, just respawn and try a different spot.

Some maps, like Farm 18, have huge out-of-bounds While most of the other ones have a pretty small out of bounds area once you have gone too far out of bounds, you will just fall right off the map if this happens. You can respond by selecting the opposite team.
