News - How To Get Better At Ranked Warzone 2
Intro
I'm going to show you step-by-step on how to get better at ranking, so I've personally used these methods to go from a platinum-level player all the way to near-iridescent. Now in Vanguard, it isn't called platinum or iridescent; it is the same level of rank. This article will have something for everyone, whether you want to just get a little better and not put a lot more time in or if you want to start taking this game a little more seriously and put a lot more time in.
Now let's jump right into it and start talking about settings.
Controller settings
So first, under the controller tab, I usually play with flipped, which means you shoot with your bumpers and then you throw lethal and tactical. With your triggers, this is a preference thing, so you don't have to change it, but I recommend at least trying it.
Same with controller vibration. I keep it off, but you don't have to. But the one thing you should change are your dead zone inputs. Basically, what dead zones are is how much you can move your stick with without your character actually moving or your aim actually moving, so you want these as low as possible so that when you move your stick, it moves your character or aim as quickly as possible, but I would start at 33 and just up it one by one until you feel comfortable, and that's how you find your dead zones.
Now a quick little story about dead zones. My brother actually never changed dead zones, but then when he asked me to give him controller settings. I changed them, and he was absolutely astonished by how much more responsive his controller was because obviously every little input you put into your controller will now reflect on your aim because I think it's even defaulted at like 15, which is crazy, but dead zones are something you really need to change now that under the aiming category you have your sensitivities.
Now I play on 88 within. 9 ad sensitivity, but most pros play on 66 or 77. So if you don't know what sense to be on, just do one of those and then change it from there if you like it a little faster or a little slower if you like a faster Sensitivity: I do recommend lowering your ad sensitivity so you can be a lot more precise.
I do think it will benefit you in the long run to do this. It might feel a little weird, but I promise you, the lower the sensitivity, the more accurate you will be now for your aim response curve type. Use Dynamic; it's just the best; there's no point in not using it. For your aim, just use the default.
Black Ops used to be better, but then it got nerfed, so just use the default. You get the most rotational aim assist, but it is by far the most overpowered. Type of aim assist: now, under gameplay, I use a single tap to run. Basically, what this means is that instead of sprinting, when I click the sprint button, I tack sprint.
This makes your movement just a lot faster, which is technically banned by the pro league, but again, we're not pros, so I don't really care about that. Next, you make sure you have these three settings off. Basically, when you jump and automatically mantle something or just automatically mantle anything, it is one of these three settings that is making you do it.
I would personally rather just do all the inputs myself, so I have these off now with your slide. SL dive behavior: Make it on the slide; only every pro player plays on this because it makes your slide cancel. It's a lot smoother and way more responsive. If you have it on tap to slide, you will have a very big delay.
Slide-only diving isn't that great in this game, and even Call of Duty is so good that you'll actually dive on accident a lot now. For the rest of these settings, I would just copy.
Graphic settings
I don't think many of them are that important to change, but if you want to look at what I have and copy it, you can do that, and I'm going to quickly scroll through my graphic settings, but I don't really think that it matters just what your PC can handle and what you like using if you prioritize.
Graphics over FPS: just use it; you don't have to listen to people and play on the lowest settings to get the most FPS. Just do what you want, but under VOW, I would recommend anywhere from 110 to 100. This is kind of where most pro players play once you get over 120 in multiplayer. I think it almost hurts you more than it helps you.
Also, make sure you have these three settings off and to zero if your game looks blurry in any way; it's one of these settings, and then have your first camera shake to off now, the last thing.
Classes
I will cover my classes, so I'm going to remove my webcam so you can actually see the class. So basically, for the MCW, Just copy this class now.
This is a little bit of a weirder class because I have this stock on. Some people have this DR6 hand stop instead of the stock if they want a little more ad speed and stuff, but this is the class I like to run. Here's the rafica, or the retti. This is a very standard class. I think most people use this.
I don't know if they're really optimal or anything, but this is what I like using. I also like Frag over Seex, but that's again your guys's preference. But now that we're finally done with all the boring settings, the next thing I want to talk about is how to get better. But basically, I showed you guys how to set up this bot lobby to practice your aim.
If you guys don't know, you can simply copy what I'm doing right now.
Use your movement
It is a very easy and very beneficial thing to do, but if you don't want to watch that article, I'll give you guys a few tips right here. So first, when you enter these bot lobbies, make sure you're using your movement when you're aiming. Obviously, when you're in the game, you're not going to be just standing still, so whenever you're in these bot lobbies practicing your aim, just make sure you're jumping, around slide canceling people, and drop shooting.
Even now, you obviously don't have to overdo your movement unless you want to actually work on it, and it might feel weird that you're going to try hard against recruiting bots, but while it might feel weird, it is very beneficial to do so.
Use the right classes
Also, make sure you're using your classes that you actually are going to use in the game, whether that's war zone or ranked, and the one tip I will give you guys to aim train is to turn off aim assist.
